    Ha!
I wanted to have the heading read:
"Do ya feel lucky?, Well do ya punk?"
    Alas hindsight!

Anyway, in an effort to stop some individuals from trespassing on my newly acquired land, I have had to make a few "things" to get their attention....
I also had to add a "few" signs as well, no sense causing UNDUE harm to innocent trespassers!
Now that sounds like an oxymoron!

By using the terms "innocent trespassers", I refer to those that just follow others tracks or trails without any regard to where they may be at or on whose land they are on....they just follow their noses....

Now as far as the trespassers, they are truly the ones this system is designed for....you know the ones....
They cut your fences, pull out or run over your fence posts, shoot your signs full of holes...destroy hours of surveying work and stakes....shoot your $2,500.00 water tanks full of holes!
    Real swell individuals.
My kind of people.....the kind I'll love to do this to!

So, I decided to try something they'll really appreciate!
I can see them now, pushing their vehicles with 2 to 4 flat tires, 8+ miles back to the nearest town....!
    Now that's funny!
Those would be the luckiest ones...

You see, I desgned these devices to roll and tumble, in order to facilitate doing the most damage, as is possible.....
Being interconnected, they will do even more, as they are "sucked" under a vehicle and across all the tires footprint areas, and the oil and transmission pans.
It may be "overkill", but I can guarantee it will certainly have an effect on those that have taken it upon themselves to destroy my property.

I am opening myself to a lot of condemnation here, but, consider the costs and trouble these jerks have caused me and many others in the surrounding areas!
Being that the area is OPEN RANGE, I have to replace the downed, and destroyed sections of fencing, then implement these.....(no sense in hurting any animals!)

    image 1: 5/8 inch rebar in 12 and 16 inch lengths...(single pieces)
image 2: 3/8 inch rebar in 12 inch lengths...(single pieces)
image 3: 2-4ft bars with 12 inch spikes welded at intervals, with chain to connect them...
image 4: 2-4ft bars opened to a full length of 9 feet...
image 5: 12 inch nails/spikes welded to chain....
image 6: 3/8 inch x 12 inch rebar "jacks" welded to chain...

Due to the legality and subsequent use of any such device, I highly advise NO one do this!
The legal ramifications and lawsuits are inevitable...."IF" you should ever decide to try this!
In other words: "Don't try this at home!"
Consider this an "experiment", that has so far caused extreme concern on behalf of my city neighbors....Not to worry though, they are all illegals!
When I had a neighbor stop, back up, roll down the passenger window, and ask what I was making I told him: "car stoppers"....He then asked me why?
I asked him in return... "haven't you heard? We are going to have a war!"
My neighbors no longer even look at me today!
    LOL!!!

Image 5 I am very familiar with. They are called caltrips (i am not sure about the spelling). I made them in shop class in the 60's. Don't remember the info source. Those who maliciously tresspass deserve whatever they get. I would shoot out tires or the engine block, and not fear being drug into court. People who know me, know I can damn well hit what I aim at, and if I wanted to hit or kill these vermin they would be dead. So the assult with the intent to kill is a no go. Got the trophys, pictures, and character wittnesses to back it all up. Go get them !!!

I was introduced to these beauties in 1970-71, in a southeast asia training area known as: Vietnam.
I did some work with local "montagnards".....
They were great at improvising and we traded a lot of good info!

    I tried,....
I put up over a dozen signs , all metal, posted no trespassing, etc., etc...they shot them into "confetti" with shotguns and something else.....
The new $2,500.00, 1500 gallon water tank was the last straw!
Can't be repaired they tell me.....
The "T" posts cost me $5.39 each and I lost over 30 of them, plus I had to replace over 100 foot of 6 ft chain link fencing!
I placed an ad for somone to stay up there, and I'd pay them $100.00 a week, and supply them with housing, communications-radios/phone, and tools to boot!
    No takers yet.....

    dragonfly,

Your defenses seem a little extreme. I chose a much simpler, more user-friendly method of keeping riff-raff out. In front of my BOL I posted a sign. I think I should be ok. I can't foresee any problems...

I like the structure a whole lot. No sign of life, just as it should be from the side that is visible.

Forget about it, dragonfly. Before I got my spiffy sign for my shack, I tried hiring a guard. It didn't really work out...

Believe it or not, there's a house near where I live that has a big home-made sign by the front door that says "CAUTION: POISONOUS SNAKES INSIDE"
