    YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

Our votes don't seem to matter.
Regardless of which party is in control, it's
    The same crap.
It's taken colusion from both party's.

Exactly why I am a free-thinking Independent Conservative now - to Hades with the Donkey and the Elephant. We The People need to have a big nationwide BBQ with these critters.
Fire them and their foreign masters.

The problem is their is no one else to vote for in the elections.
Their is no strong 3rd party to put in congress or the senate.

Their is only the status quo nothing more nothing less.
We need a strong alternative party.
My hopes that the tea party would become that 3rd party is over.
It's been relegated to an arm of the republican party.

    RadPug,

    What state are you in.
In michigan, we've got the Independent party, the green party, the socialist party, etc.

I am pretty sure than none of these parties are part of the mainstream.

Only R i'm going to vote for is Ron Paul. All other seats, offices I'm going with a third party candidate. I mean seriously, could they actually do any worse than what we got now?

That's the major problem none of those party's will ever get going
To capture enough votes to make a difference.
We get some people running as independence but they go no where.

Here is a novel idea. How about you running?
As an independent, run for mayor, city commissioner, drain commissioner, alderman, secretary, treasurer or other office.

If your current elected officials aren't up to snuff, YOU can make a change. All it takes is one to get the ball rolling.

Just Sayin' we need to get it going from the bottom up anyway.

Bottom up is the only way that things will ever get straighter up.
    I agree with that.
I would be happy to vote for someone whom shares similar idea
    As I do.

We need to BAN all political Parties. Let the candidate stand on his/her own values and demonstrated performance, nothing more. No corporate funding, no Special Interests or Lobbyests. Only public fundraising - if the public doesn't support him, he fails - period.

At best what they will accomplish is splitting the vote which will be to 0bama's advantage.

This type of thinking is what has gotten us to the place we are currently.

A third party vote will split the R vote and get the D elected...then, next election...That "loser" independent candidate is getting NO coverage because he only got 6% of the vote last time. He's unelectable!

Maybe we need to lose a battle to win a war?

This is a myth that has been propagated to scare people away from voting outside party lines. A strong independent would drain as much vote from the donkeys as the elephants. This is the same outright lies that they are spouting about Ron Paul being "Unelectable". Really? In 2008 he got more cross over votes (democrats dropping their party and registering as Republicans to vote for him) than any candidate in history, since, and including Ronald Reagan.
If he were to run as a third party he would get an enormous voting block from both parties and from independents. Maybe not enough to win but enough to squash that myth.
I absolutely refuse to vote for the lesser of two evils ever again. If RP is not on the ballot then I may seriously vote for Obama. Give the sheep what they deserve. I said that last time and I swallowed the bile and voted for Palin. But I unequivocally will never vote for Mitt Romney or Newt Gingrich under any circumstances.

Referring to the two parties, George Wallace is quoted as saying " There's not a dimes worth of difference between them" I agree.
