Okay, I live in Northern MI.. It's 81 degrees out. Normal high temp for this date is about 40 degrees. I'm NOT complaining, and I know we get "warm spells", but damn. I have to keep reminding myself that it's too early to go get my garden all planted :)

Tuesday the forecast is calling for 85 degrees. I'm surprised Al Gore isn't trying to grab every news camera he can find and yell all about it.

I did get my Harley out for a ride yesterday :)

This is all due to a Stationary High Pressure centered over the Middle MidWest, that is forcing the Winter Jet Stream way north into Canada.... This is an unusual Weather Pattern, and a fluke... Hope your not a Farmer, as this time of year is when the Spring Rains, add moisture for the Dry Farmers Land, and not getting it, is going to be hard later, in the Planting and Growing seasons.... ..... YMMV..... Just be happy your not in Northern Europe....

82 F here in Florida right now..... Very unseasonably warm for this time of year. We may be in for a warm summer.

lower michigan and we are planting
    albeit in the greenhouse
    and tilling the soil

get them suckers sprouted and then move 'em out into the beds.

I'm going to call it spring due to the fact that:
    Geese are making nests,
    Turkey vultures have returned
    bats are back
and the fricking mosquitoes are here too!

So, if we don't get a hard freeze we might get multiple crops this year. Or we will just have to replant.

couldn't be any worse than the deer wiping out the beans, peas and corn 4x last year (built a fence that seems to resolve that issue now)

anyway, Wife is loving it. Should invest in a rototiller but as long as I can turn a shovel full of dirt I'll call it exercise !

Not likely, as this is a very unusual Wx pattern, not really seen before, in this time frame. The Sun Cycle is an every 11, or so, Year Cycle, which we have recorded data from back 6 or more cycles. We haven't seen this particular WX Pattern, associated with any of these Sun Cycles, before. .....
