  1. What's a reliable site that sells bulk ammo? Looking for 12g, 380 auto and 40 s&w mainly. Thank you so much for your help, wanna buy as much as I can ASAP

Try ammoseek.com for price comparisons. Wiedners (sp), cheaper than dirt, midway, and sportsmans guide are a few I've used.

Have you done a search on the Monkey? I think you'll find a lot of info there as well as some vendors you should stay away from.

    My $0.02:
What kills you on purchasing ammo is shipping. So, the closer the vendor is to you, the more likely the shipping will be less (but check using different zip codes).

A lot of times, some places have specials on shipping (e.g., Cabelas) where it's a flat rate. Always take advantage of this and buy 1000 rnds...it adds up.

Buy yourself a .22lr pistol to practice with at the range. Use your main guns at the range enough to be comfortable with them, then use the .22 to work on the rest. To me, all ammo is gold and I use it sparingly.

CheaperThanDirt is known for gouging customers. I'd avoid them.

Check the shipping costs, as it may end up cheaper buying at your local Wally's in the long run.

    Ammoman.com works for me.

Price includes shipping to your door.

Been buying from them for more than 5 years and never a problem.

They ship about 2000 UPS packages a week.

Best if you select a place with security for the driver to leave your order and list that on your order.

I have a lockable steel box for deliveries that is indicated on my orders to the driver.

in my experience, the gouging occurs in their Shipping Costs. They had sum .22 ammo I wanted to try badly. Catch is I only wanted one box not a lot in case my guns don't like it. The shipping costs was gonna be 3x the cost the lil box of 50 rds!!!

When ever I've made online ammo purchases. I order everything I think i need to disperse the shipping across multiple calibers. I've been in the same boat as Stang150, wanted to try out a couple of different .22 rounds. So I order a case of this and a brick of that, and some of this too.

I'm sure that Mr. Brown doesn't like it as he has to dig out the hand cart.

Watch for Flat rate shipping deals either as specials or in a coupon from a previous order or coupon code found online.

Visu, that Cope Distributing I posted, had a Black Friday Sale online after Turkey Day. $9.95 Flat Rate Shipping for ALL yer Order. I horribly abused them for that. Ordered a LOT of OpSec =X

Check different warehouses. They are listed under the product as to which they are shipping that item from. Luckily I had a rep tell me last order that warehouse A was in South Carolina. Shipping is now much more affordable, I just wait until warehouse A has what I need, if I can wait, if not I just look elsewhere.

Even if you find your gun doesn't like Brand X...keep it. It WILL be currency one day and be more valuable than what you paid for it.

Just saw you are in Washington. Surplus arms and ammo by Ft Lewis in Washington has good bulk prices, Bi Mart in Vancouver for .22 and shotgun. Georgia arms canned heat ammo or BVA Bitteroot Vally ammo in Montana.

You may also want to become a member of Washington arms collectors they have shows in Puyallup and Monroe with some decent vendors for preps.

Hahaha, you got that right. I was looking behind the counter for about five minutes when a female employee asked if she could help. I told her I thought they would have more of a selection based on their web page...then she told me to turn around and I heard the angels calling. She thought I must be crazy when I went back to the counter and asked if they had anymore .223 in the back.;)
