While camping a few miles from my home in north central florida I came across these. Seems to me it is from a feline. There were several piles of buried feces in the area. My first suspicion is bobcat, since thats the only wild feline species in my area. But, don't they seem large for a bobcat?
LMAO... would make sense since my neighbor makes skunkape calls in the middle of the night I probably should also note. In the same area about two months ago my son found a bone which looked to me like a human femur bone (no joke). After we got home I kept thinking "what if" so I actually called the police, they took it from me. Next time we went camping I asked my son to show me where he found the bone. A few feet from the spot he showed me is where I found these.
I was really hoping for a Chukakabra, never seen one but heard they were fierce. Very interesting that they are deer toes. I will have to remember that one for the field next time I run across something like this. Thanks for the info!!
