To all monkeys....please note the advisory at the page header about the necessity of doing due diligence with respect of advertisers who are new, or have posted infrequently.

This is boquete's maiden thread and post#1 is his / her / their first post so far. this is boquette's first day of membership under that alias.

However, if you are a thrill seeker and risk taker, and "Pineapple Express" is your thang....have a few [stoner] and
go for broke!!! The soil is reputed to be good...the land has river frontage (so irrigation is probably doable)....and the border with Costa Rica is close enough away that it will be a short E&E bugout to a different jurisdiction if things go sour. What's not to like???

Wow, such a nice introduction to the forum. I'll be an Obama's Uncle! All I asked is you take a look. Now, back to your bunker.

Ah...we are becoming friends already are we not, mon ami??? When you have been here a while you will undoubtedly find a certain affection for my satire that others here have come to love and enjoy.

Although possibly not obligatory, it is considered good etiquette to run proposed advertisements of a more commercial nature past the site's owner, melbo. I don't think there is generally much objection to site members using this forum as a kind of swap meet for non commercial transactions, and certainly there are a small number of members who do use this forum (with official sanction) to promote the wares marketed by their somewhat more commercial business interests.

Please don't take this the wrong way...but...claiming kinship with our esteemed "El Presidente" will not add to your enterprise's credibility....howver....getting an endorsement by Chuck Heston is sure to be a winning move!! ;)

    Ouch! [feedmods] ;)

OK, I can only hope that I've passed the Monkey Hazing. Ummm, that was a nice spanking.

Now, if anyone is open to the suggestion that there MIGHT be another option than Uncle Sam, kindly take a look.

Nope, not mine, Belongs to a local Bush Pilot, who is now deceased, (Yea, Crashed) and it was sold to another Outfit, and is now on floats.....
Flying to town costs $245US each way... and that is cheap compared to what it costs to fly to Panama, plus out to the Northern Boarder.....

Thanks for the tip. I'll run my next commercial post through the proper channels. In the meantime, how about a little "etiquette", like "we don't know you so how can we already hate you"?? Nothing like a tight little secret-circle.

Oh, and one other little detail... There are a bunch of people here who actually meant it when they said "If Obama wins the election, I'm leaving the country".

    Ball check, boys.

Ok...I've had my fun...so this blockhead will leave you to the tender mercies of others.

To the Senior Monkey and the Sage. You win, I'm gone.

Congratulations on your victory over the Mexicans. I suggest you come out of the bunker, get a tan and change your name to Pedro. The new guys may let you pick a few berries next year. Lock and load and... oh well, you talked a big fight. No shots fired.

That was too easy. Talk about a phishing expedition. It's hard to greet someone with open arms when they come in not knowing (or caring) what the lay of the land is and the expected behavior out of everyone including the new guy. And once he got his dander up, it was all about the chip on his shoulder. That kind of attitude doesn't typically have much longevity in a place like this.

No chip on the shoulder, and yes, I certainly don't know the lay of the land. Sorry. My original post only offered some information.

The "attitude" you thought you detected was a real dislike for bullshit and bullies. If I wanted bad attitudes I would have stayed in the USA and raised a teenager. Stay warm by the fire.
