Welcome aboard. You have an interesting skillset and, I am sure, some interesting perspectives on securing ones abode against those who would invade it - always an important topic. I have found information on home protection from some interesting and varied sources, and it has opened my mind to possibilities that I may not have otherwise considered. I ran across a website, which I posted here, designed to provide information to firefighters on how to enter a home which had been "hardened" against illegal entry. They had some advise which was not necessarily "thinking outside the box," but was rather thinking within their own box. They had a perspective which I lacked.
I have one of these as do most fire departments, very handy item to have in one's tool box. With a demolition cut-off wheel there is not many things it can not cut through.
I have one as well. Most firefighters around here, will cut an inverted "v" through a garage door and push the middle down like a drawbridge. Very fast but costly.
