This links in your sig to "find experts" for your vet clinics don't work properly. Furthermore, you need to be a site supporter to advertise in your sig.
Stupid Toronto Maple Leaf fan spammer.

*edit for Tac - added "Toronto" to the Maple Leaf fan spammer comment so that nobody would think I was trashing the Canadian flag.

Newbie Mark here. I have over 4 years experience in the industry and I am a member of the Organisation of Professional Accredited Locksmiths in the UK. I have joined the forum to mainly gain insights into others' experiences in the industry ESPECIALLY how to see special skillset can help in survival - anything!

I run a 24/7 on-call company in locksmiths Romford and it surely is not your average 9-5 job. Hope to hear from others. Cheers!

^^ Right now I'm trying to look at improvising lock instruments from common house items like paperclips, stapler pins, etc...

Welcome aboard. You have an interesting skillset and, I am sure, some interesting perspectives on securing ones abode against those who would invade it - always an important topic. You can store up all the preps in the world, but if you can't keep them safe, they aren't going to be of much good to you. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Thanks Tulianr! Its funny how many things can be used once you try and improvise. Yep, I know the skillset is quite different but hey lets see how it goes then :)

I have found information on home protection from some interesting and varied sources, and it has opened my mind to possibilities that I may not have otherwise considered. I ran across a website, which I posted here, designed to provide information to firefighters on how to enter a home which had been "hardened" against illegal entry. They had some advise which was not necessarily "thinking outside the box," but was rather thinking within their own box. They had a perspective which I lacked.

I have one of these as do most fire departments, very handy item to have in one's tool box. With a demolition cut-off wheel there is not many things it can not cut through.

I have one as well. Most firefighters around here, will cut an inverted "v" through a garage door and push the middle down like a drawbridge. Very fast but costly.
