If true this would be the true definition of the "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" and "Strange bedfellows".

Since barry did his Neville Chamberlain "peace in our time" appeasement to Iran it really makes it much more likely that there will be action.

TEL AVIV — Israeli personnel in recent days were in Saudi Arabia to inspect bases that could be used as a staging ground to launch attacks against Iran, according to informed Egyptian intelligence officials.

The officials said Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan and other Arab and Persian Gulf countries have been discussing the next steps toward possible strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites.

The officials said the U.S. passed strong messages to Israel and the Saudis that the Americans control radar capabilities over the skies near Iran and that no strike should be launched without permission from the Obama administration.

It was unclear whether the purported visit to Saudi Arabia by Israeli military and intelligence officials signals any real preparation for a strike or if the trip was meant to keep pressure on the West amid Israeli fears about the current deal with Tehran.

The trip came prior to the announcement today of the deal with Western powers that aims to halt key parts of Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief.

At a cabinet meeting in Jerusalem today, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu slammed what he called a “bad” and “dangerous” deal, while affirming that Israel will not allow Iran to go nuclear.

“Israel is not obligated by this agreement,” Netanyahu said. “I want to make clear we will not allow Iran to obtain military nuclear capability.”

“Today the world became a much more dangerous place because the most dangerous regime in the world made a significant step in obtaining the most dangerous weapons in the world,” he said.

The deal reportedly halts the installation of new centrifuges, but allows Iran to keep current centrifuges used to enrich uranium.

The agreement caps the amount and type of enriched uranium Iran can produce and opens many nuclear sites up to daily inspections. However, Israel is warning that even the low-grade uranium allowed in the agreement can be used to eventually assemble a nuclear weapons capability.

 

If a deal of this sort was in fact agreed to between Israel and Saudi Arabia, I can't imagine either party being silly enough to let the news of it leak out. As Minuteman indicated, news of military cooperation with Israel would be political suicide for the government of any Arab nation.

That being said, the governments of Saudi Arabia and the UAE are just as eager as Israel to prevent Iran from gaining a nuclear capability; and some sort of SECRET collusion would not surprise me in the least. I just don't think we'll be reading about the details of any such collusion in the newspapers.

 

The Israelis have far fewer leaks than the USA so the Israelis may have planted this red herring to rattle the Iranian cages and publicly remind the USA and others that they are not happy.

The Saudis are thus far silent on this so they may happy in the short term to let it sit out there to keep everyone wondering..

 

best that Israel could get is an unacknowledged overflight permission .... the Saudis would be outraged and cancel the every other Tuesday cribbage game ....

the return trip would be over water .... any other country would ditch the jets and lifeguard the pilots .... Israel will attempt aerial refueling and a full roundtrip .... your guess how US based jets will react .... anywhere from interception to an armed escort .....

 

Iran will be attacked one way or the other. This plan has been in writing since before Eisenhower and is part of the NWO GW Bush, Churchill, Mandell House, and all the others have been talking about all this time.

Operation Opera, also known as Operation Babylon, was a surprise Israeli air strike carried out on 7 June 1981, that destroyed a nuclear reactor under construction 17 kilometers (10.5 miles) southeast of Baghdad, Iraq.

The attack squadron consisted of eight F-16As, each with two unguided Mark-84 2,000-pound delay-action bombs. A flight of six F-15As was assigned to the operation to provide fighter support.

On 7 June 1981, at 15:55 local time, the operation was initiated. The Israeli planes left Etzion Airbase, flying unchallenged in Jordanian and Saudi airspace. To avoid detection, the Israeli pilots conversed in Saudi-accented Arabic while in Jordanian airspace and told Jordanian air controllers that they were a Saudi patrol that had gone off course. While flying over Saudi Arabia, they pretended to be Jordanians, using Jordanian radio signals and formations.

Upon reaching Iraqi airspace the squadron split up, with two of the F-15s forming close escort to the F-16 squadron, and the remaining F-15s dispersing into Iraqi airspace as a diversion and ready back-up. The attack squadron descended to 30 m over the Iraqi desert, attempting to fly under the radar of the Iraqi defences.

At 18:35 local time, 20 km from the Osirak reactor complex, the F-16 formation climbed to 2,100 m and went into a 35-degree dive at 1,100 km/h, aimed at the reactor complex. At 1,100 m, the F-16s began releasing the Mark 84 bombs in pairs, at 5-second intervals. The attack lasted less than two minutes.

Saudi nuclear weapons 'on order' from Pakistan


Saudi Arabia has invested in Pakistani nuclear weapons projects, and believes it could obtain atomic bombs at will, a variety of sources have told BBC Newsnight.

While the kingdom's quest has often been set in the context of countering Iran's atomic programme, it is now possible that the Saudis might be able to deploy such devices more quickly than the Islamic republic.

Earlier this year, a senior Nato decision maker told me that he had seen intelligence reporting that nuclear weapons made in Pakistan on behalf of Saudi Arabia are now sitting ready for delivery.

Last month Amos Yadlin, a former head of Israeli military intelligence, told a conference in Sweden that if Iran got the bomb, "the Saudis will not wait one month. They already paid for the bomb, they will go to Pakistan and bring what they need to bring."
