Actually, I learned this one in the Boy Scouts over 50 years ago. Good reminder though and I'm betting a lot of the younger folks had never heard or thought of it… Another (even easier) method is rubbing the top of the can on a large rock or concrete and wearing off the edge…top comes right off.
this is one of the reasons I have a few of those p-38's throughout my gear stash, and I carry an old beat up folder knife...
