Last week was Nuclear stuff. 2 more MSA Millenium gas masks, 4 cases of Tyvek coveralls with booties, 2 cases of 20 NBC filters, and 4 CB camelbak bladders in CB "Gobags" for the family to hold under the bed

    This week 8/5/06

I picked up 10 bales of TP. 30 'double' rolls a bail @ $.49 each

Also grabbed 10 bags (18 lb) of Cat food

You must be reading my mind, I was thinking about posting the same thing.

Mine is way more moderate though.

A local restaurant was closing down and we bought six industrial size 6 lb. 8 oz. cans of beans and corn @ $2.75 each. Four bags of peppered gravy mix and six bottles of steak sauce. I also picked up 100 rds. of CCI Brass 230 gr. .45 ammo, and an extra 50 lbs. of dogfood from W/M this week. You never can tell how hungry I might get. Actually, they are all for the bulldog, at least until I am in the doghouse. ;) I also picked had a three month supply of meds delivered, but that is all pretty normal stuff.

A paycheck, a half tank of gas, 2 sets of pants for work, 4 shirts for work, half a months land payment and $30 toward a layaway purchase of a $150 Dickson Commander in .38 special. Oh and quarters for more water then was broke. lol

Oh well hopefuly in another month or so money will be better off and can stock up on reloading supplies and pay off the Dickson and such.

I put up 72 Qt jars of Green Beans, Speggehti Sauce, and Plain Tomatoes.

48 pt jars of Pizza Sauce, Salsa and Tomato Soup. And the Tomatoes are still coming on strong.

    8 qts of Dill Pickles

My Sweet corn was a total failure, the bugs ruined it. Big learning lesson there. Didn't think I had to spray it.

And am hatching 29 Guinea Eggs.

    Does that count...LOL

This may sound a little silly but don't forget writing paper, pencils, pens, crayons (for those of you with young ones). These aren't essentials but can make life a little less stressful.

A 30KW generator from a shrimp trawler that we wrecked along with a centerfudge for fuel that came from a Russian Trawler and between 1200-1300 gallons of recovered diesel from boats that I can wash. A pallet of ready-mix cement and 300 linear feet of 12' wooden fencing removed from our company site and a 12'x24' aluminum building. Ten bricks of .22LR, two dozen carbon broadheads, two dozen carbon quarels with broadheads, lee dies for 7mm weatherby mag. A kayak.

I'm about to go to gen repair school for the military and would like to know more about the gens you have. What are you wanting to trade/sell them for?

Since they are take-outs on boats, they were keel-cooled and will all require some type of radiator or pond cooling system but that's not really a big deal. I have several and always get more. Most have Detroit engines 3-71 or 4-71) but that varies too. They vary from 15 to 40KW.
As far as trade goes, just depends on what you got. I focused on the letter G this week...guns, gold, geese, guitars, grapes, granola, grain, grease, etc. but that changes from one day to the next...barter is such an interesting thing. I could use some brick-laying, carpentry, tile work, or dry-wall. and even a bit of painting...list has no limits..except that I won't consider children at anywhere near the value Bear put on them in another thread.:D

Give us an estimate on the value of these generators.

They vary considerably as take-outs in Boats and Harbors (trade rag) averaging around 6K for a 20-30KW, some nearly twice as high. I value take-outs around a grand for one that needs attention and a Barrret rifle for one that was running with no problems when the boat got wrecked. But then again, if you really want one, come get it and send me something worth-while when you come across it. I have a few and always get more.
