I recently Discovered Bore Tech's rifle cleaning products. I have a magnum rifle that the accuracy was dropping off slowly. I use always use Sweets 762, Hops copper remover and Barns copper remover also use regular Hops. After all of those used on this barrel and the patches coming out looking clean the next day my shipment of boretech products arrived. I ordered their bore guide and a custom Length cleaning rod so I don't have to remove my muzzle brake. While I was there eye balling their cleaning rods I noticed the cleaners they have. I decided to try them all and see what happens. I ordered the carbon remover,copper remover and the Eliminator. The above picture is what the carbon remover took out after using the rest of my cleaners and thinking it was clean. The above is after using the copper remover. So afer all the cleaning report if the rifle has increased it's accuracy , or it's not the tool itself , but the tool user . I know clean makes a huge difference for the smoothness & i Assumed !!! accuracy.. Sloth
Yea it went back to sub moa. When I finally realized something was wrong in the cleaning I was working up load developments for different bullets, and had nothing to refer to so I could see my accuracy loss. Util I went back to the load I sighted in with, then I could see it was the rifle and not the loads. It increased to a 2" group from a sub moa.

Quig... Excess Carbon after Shooting, is an indication of incomplete Burning of the Propellant.... You might look at using a slightly FASTER Powder, so it completely burns, BEFORE the Projectile leaves the Barrel, and the Pressure Drops.... And the Gases cool....
This a 300 ultra Mag pushing a 210 grain Berger, its overbore, you want to shoot the slowest powder you can to keep pressures down and get max accuracy/ velocity for long range shots.
