Mrs. Hanzo with my gear

Mrs. Hanzo has been trail running for about a year now. And running for about maybe five. I am proud of her, not just her accomplishments, but for being open to being equipped.

When she runs, she uses the whistle/road ID bracelet configuration I put together for her. And she carries the appropriate light(s) and a little multitool. Oh, and a couple of bandanas to go with her water and snacks.

When she is on the trail, she will pack more. Today, she is only going to run in about five miles to a spot she wants to clear a little bit, and then run back. She has been using my Hill People Gear Tarahumara pack for about a year now, and she has my old Tramontina machete and a Mora. Most of the clearing will be brush. The Tramontina is much lighter than @Bear's machete, so may be safer for her. Heck, my 93 year old mother uses my Tramontina from time to time in the yard. It has been the most used Hanzo machete so far. It is also the oldest at 20-30 years old.

"Socks" are gaiters and the arm thingies are because she prefers not to sunscreen her arms.

    This was a before picture.

    After, we had roast chicken.

More gear... The Fenix TK40 is not my brightest flashlight in terms of lumens, but it throws a tight beam and might be my farthest thrower. The tree is 100 feet away.

    And finally, some trail pics.

What can I say, @Bear? I am blessed. I guess the ladies like my really big, um, personality. [emoji12]

    The sauce was great!

LOL @Hanzo I believe it's a well documented and know fact that women love a man who can cook and loves good food. And especially if they make great sauce! ;)

I could be wrong... it could just be your stunning good looks, amazing personality and awesome sense of humor... ;) Others here may want to opine.

I'll stop there... this is a family friendly place ;)

I always tell my wife it must be my ruggedly handsome good looks with boyish charm.

In my youth, I dated this girl who swore I looked like a young Hiroyuki Sanada. She would tell all her friends. That I could do martial arts too may have helped the resemblance. I never saw it though. Decades later, my wife tells me I kinda did.

Suppose I would settle for a funny guy that can cook and do stuff. I guess that I know how to survive is a plus.

I have one of these in a pot in a south facing room. It is about 3 feet tall.

Nice to have the green, summer or winter.

    Thanks for the pics @Hanzo.
