So after looking at the computer for a while, I got up, walked around, had a big cup of water, and busted out a bushcraft knife. Just a few minutes doing something different can clear your head and give you a reset. Carved a few small curls using just the tip.
Sometimes that's all you need. Focus on something out of the ordinary or other than what you've been doing.
Sometimes having to do some delicate and thought involved mechanics can be relaxing. I split wood with an ax.
Very much so, and for me cleaning our guns as well as shooting. Something about the simple mechanics of the repeated motions I guess.

Was getting sleepy. So took but a moment. I have heard these called Shirley Temple curls. A moment with a sharp knife is all it takes to wake me up. That is an old Gary Mills Woodlore clone. I have the edge as a kind of Scandi convex edge. Mostly Scandi with a slight convex at the very edge. I like this edge geometry. Both sharp and strong.
