Almost unbelievable. Neither Bobcats or Coyotes in my AO (north central florida) are in anyway that comfortable around humans. If they were they would most likely be dead. Only on the west coast of USA ......

When I see animals in the light close to humans I always wonder if they are sick.

In this case I believe the Humans are sick, they act a lot like sheep waiting for the slaughter.

Cougar shot, killed in West Vancouver - British Columbia - CBC News
Three Cougars have been spotted near me in BC & one shot last week near a major inner city of West Vancouver , right beside the YVR pad . This is a close as you can get to nature in a major city , right beside the Capilano River , So if you have good legs you can hike up the river to the dam & beyond out of the parking lot & into Paradise .
I never saw the cat but in the photo in the link, but its looks small & stunted under nourished . Im comparing it to the ones I see up north in very rural farming conditions , rather than the flat (parking lots) in YVR.

If I see a cougar in West wan , something is not right , up in the farmlands , then if you get to figure out why it is here (hunting during fowling season ) or another reason that make you either react or shoot it . The ones that show no fear of me or the farm dog on quad or tractors are noted & hunted , this go's for wolves also , lone wolf is not normal , but the packs are why we must have a dogs nose & wisdom to let us mostly pre plucked monkeys aware they are about & around you. Coyotes are not around when wolves are , they have been eaten . In the more open spaces in YVR I have seen Coyotes on the freeways etc , they hunt small dogs & cats so I hear & read ..
Bear's up here are scared of humans , normally cats are as well , wolves are tricky & can be sheep2wolf .

What's worse the video or the comments? Some of them are just plain ignorant. Where I come from several people are attacked and sometimes killed by mountain lions every summer. Mostly hikers and fishermen. I have been "tracked" twice by mountain loins that I know of. Circled back and found their tracks in mine.VERY unnerving IMHO. One reason why I am never unarmed in the woods-two-legged coyotes are another..

I shot one down at the duck cage, I've had mallards eaten thru a chain link fence before and he looked fat. Had the neighbor across the road skin him out and asked him if he wanted the meat, neither of us knew anything about bobcat meat, or preparing it. So what is your recipe for fresh bobcat meat, this was a 29# cat, undressed.
