Coffee without a coffee pot

Still waiting on the replacement coffeepot. (Never buy a Mr. Coffee).
We went 15 years, with another brand, until a mishap broke the carrafe. A replacement was outrageous, and would need to be shipped in, so we decided to spend a lot less, and bought a MR. Coffee.
(Do not repeat our mistake. Not one of the 6 we have been sent, has made it to the warranty date. I had to ship them the first one at my expense, and told them to get stuffed on 2-6.
We are still waiting and it can take as long as two weeks for the replacement to arrive.
I want my coffee!
@tacmotusn made a suggestion in the shoutbox, and this morning I decided to give it a try.
I filled a coffee filter with ground coffee suitable for a drip coffee machine. Gathered it carefully, and stapled it shut. Put on a pot of water, and brought it to a boil, then removed heat and let it steep like tea. When the color looked acceptable, I dipped coffee from the pan, and I'm haveing my first cup of coffee at home, in more than a week.

Had a complete kitchen set like this, stolen. Wish I had it right now!

 

You all do know that you can boil coffee in a pot let it set, pour a sprinkle of salt in the pot the grounds will settle, and wa la, coffee.

You see folks, Kellory is owed a working coffee pot by Mr. Coffee. He don't want to spend a damn extra nickel to make coffee any other way. He has succeeded. It ain't rocket science, and soon hopefully he will have his replacement Mr. Coffee free.

This is what I use when ever a coffee fix is required.. Bring the water to a boil, put in the basket, lower the heat and let it purk for about half an hour.. MMMM, good strong Lifer juice!!

 

We're refined monkeys around here. We bought a Krupps 4 shot expresso machine for $60 bucks and were so impressed with it we bought another so that my wife and I have our coffee ready at the same time in the morning!
We both have a full pot each!
Talk about waking up in a Hurry!!all Day LOOONG! Uh Huh!!

Rockets? ROCKETS?! Now there's an idea, where did I leave that JATO rocket? That should speed up delivery and brew it in flight! Now what did I do with that mobile rocket launcher and games tracking system.....(I wonder what it will do to the taste, though)......

Bought 3 Coffe Plants, just in case, they are growing well!

 

Never tried the Single serving, however, I have tried multiple versions of the Expresso Machines and MR Coffee was the worst only lasting about 2 months, Krupps is awesome had my last one for over 2 years replaced it before there was even a problem. The old one is in storage just in case, don't want to end up like Kellory, hating life without a decent cup of coffee!
Starbucks tasting Latte's for about 50 cents!

 

The longer a coffee bean is roasted the less caffeine is contains. I tried to buy a 50 lb bag of unroasted beans, They go for about $7 a pound. If you make coffee out of green beans I think it might give ya a heart attack! YEAH BRING IT ON!!!
