Tracking Nerf Machine Gun, Hmmmmmm...., What Can You Do With This?

A friend told me about this YouTube video about a tracking nerf machine gun


The same day another friend told me about this AR upper in 7.62 x 39: Radical Firearms 7.5" 7.62x39 RF Quad Rail: 7" FQR

He has the 16" version and it goes bang every time using standard buffers and springs. When he first got it, he attached it to a stock DPMS lower and it functioned as advertized.

Anyway, seems to me it would be interesting to merge the two together. The tracking system website is Rudolph Labs which has a step by step guide.

I'm thinking if you keep the AR platform to a compact pistol size, use the sides of the quad rail for the camera mounts and to mount to the motorized base, replace the pistol grip of the lower with solenoid trigger actuator...

You could potentially, if you made this robust enough, make a system where a single person could monitor and operate a small group of these in an SHTF scenario (given electricity) to protect the ranch. Obviously, not a replacement for other protective options, but could be a great way to augment things if you have the resources.

I'm unaware of any regulations at this time that would make this illegal, especially since the video of the pistol firing quad copter was released.

Now, work on a method to swap Mags by remote......

 

That would be the first guy who surrenders, while a second one is tracking him...

 

Actually, automating a mag swap would not be hard to do. I could build it into the mount itself.hmmmm.......

Wouldn't be hard with servos and relays.

 

That is called a "c" mag... C=100 in roman numerals...

 

I would think standard Mags would be easier to automate, due to the shape.

 

There is another guy doing the same thing with a paint ball gun. Shoots himself with it.

 

Why not? our shuttles are lifted by Russian boosters, because they didn't care as much about the weight, and just added power.

 

If it is all about weight, then either .177 or .22 pellets powered by a compressed helium tank might make sense....

 

Since this can not track someone wearing a certain logo, I wonder if it could also track things with a logo, like those obnoxious Obama stickers. A paint gun version could be used to cover them up...
