Mason Jar Lid Pies

These are such a cute idea. The recipe is from Honeyville and the recipes call for dehydrated fruits but I assume one could use fresh or frozen. But when using frozen don't forget the fruit usually has extra moisture, so plan accordingly.

This is a great idea for Thanksgiving desserts or if you are hosting a brunch. These individual pies are perfect size and your guest will love them. I think one could also make individual quiches.

with large lids that would be a great idea and much better than muffin tins

 

I had never thought about cooking in a mason jar lid. You could cook all sorts of small potion things this way. Love the idea because I always wondered what you do with used lids.

 

We use them to remove hair from a hog before we BBQ him... just scald the hog and rub the lid over the area it will remove the hair so you have a clean skin for eating...

I can bake him if you want but normally we just put then in a pig cooker and add some oak...

I was thinking ideal for pecan pies.

I like to use sweet potatoes, thinly sliced for the crust. So I was wondering how to keep it from leaking out the bottom if I used these. Hmm experimentation is in order
