I got a call from one of my uncles who lives on TX-NM border. he can't get out of the door to go water the chickens. 3 ft snow overnite.
Storming in East Texas right now and we are under a tornado alert. Listening to the rain on the tin roof and reading.
Things have totally changed as of this morning. Yesterday the forecast for the week was highs in low 30's, lows from 5F to 18 F. Today, sunshine everywhere, forecast is for 38F, tomorrow almost 50!. Snow should be gone in a day or 2. Today, though, roads are still closed, lots of reports of folks getting stuck or running off the roads. Seems like the entire town has a "snow day" today. Kajun
Our Front Yard.... The 1000Yd 18" Gong Target, is just off to the right, of the Creek, across the Inlet.... 998 Yds.... and the Rhino is in the Conex "Winter Garage".....
Our Christmas trip transportation had an over watch off Rail Track Inspectors and Storm Chasers. Unusual for sure but no reason to be fool hardy either. This was going and coming. The safety measure added but an hour either way and was welcomed by all but the mouthy few that could have gone on ahead alone, as far as I was concerned. Gimme me another cup of that Rail Road Coffee and settle back down for a nap. Home now watching the snow melt ! We are Saddened by the loss of others but Mother Nature will have her way. HK
Naw, the Snow-Gos just live outside, under their Covers... I have two... A Yamaha Longslide, and a "Spiffy" little Phasor... (Two is One, and One is none) Not enough snow yet to fire them up... It takes 8" minimum, and we only have 3" Now...
I do love Christmas time of the year a lot. Snowfalls and cool weather makes to the holiday enjoy a whole new level.
