So I figured either melbo didn'y pay the light bill,they're switching servers or the feddy's shut it down (they are getting their hands in the "blogosphere" now) ....[nothome][nothome] And started to think about every word I've ever penned here...( garsh I'm getting paranoid..) too much Alex Jones.... This is a great group of folks, I 'd hate to lose contact, we need an online rallypoint in the event the monkey is ripped asunder.( Maybe Melbo could pass around a throwaway email by pm for emergency contact).... So what happened to the server ...just a digital "hiccup"???

Definitely need a backup rally point. Too many good times here to lose out on it. I got to worrying there for a few if someone had turned out the lights, though glad to see all that was the matter was the switch was off. Glad to have the monkey shine again.
The motorcycling board I'm on "wisconsinmotorcycling.com" is the backup rally point for "sport touring .net" these guys are always losing their server. So they just show up on wimmoto until their home server is back online. Works...( Continuity plans are not just for the .gov anymore: "continuity of community?")
I don't know many 'of the same vein' sites, though one that is definitely pro-gun and run by some good guys is handloadersbench.com I don't know what everyone thinks, it's merely a suggestion.
Not a bad idea at all. We might contact them and see if a mutual backup society is a good idea. But the Monkey's server has hiccuped a couple times and always come back, so don't panic for a day or two. Give it a chance to rise from the ashes. Check with handloaders for an announcement, we'll see something gets posted if needed. No need to flood them with questions. (They are among the good guys.)

We can look there for info, no need for all to sign up even though they may not object to a boatload of new members and all the traffic they bring with them. Tango, it's actually a split-op. They agree to refer members to the monkey and we agree to refer members to the HB. Members here who like, love, or want to learn about firearms can also go there. Their site deals with firearms better than most I have seen out there, such as those forums strictly for a certain rifle. We have an area set up there for us to bring survival information to those there who do not come here. It has been set up for a while now. It's really a good site and you can learn different things as well. I understand being true to the monkey, though as in meals, the main course is always better if you have varied side dishes. It's like a firearms supplement.

Sorry guys. I had posted in Staff that I was going to be sparse for a bit... I had a CC expire and got a call from clyde an hour after we shut down. I called the Host up and gave them the new info and we were back up. Good idea to have other ways to get a hold of each other in the chance that something does happen though...
You gotta license to fly this thing???? Mostly I want to know when people start dissappearing off the board for no aparent reason. then I'll know its time to sleep by the front door and set the trip wires...
