We periodically receive emails from people having issues logging into their SM account. We first suggest that they request a password reset on the login screen and sometimes the member replies that that isn't working for whatever reason. We will not manually reset a password unless the member can give us some identifying information that verifies that this is indeed them and not someone trying to get into their account. To achieve this, we've added some security questions (which are optional) at registration. We suggest that you choose 'Other' and enter a unique (and memorable) word or phrase but you can also choose from some of the canned questions. Existing members are able to choose a question and answer in their Preferences area: https://www.survivalmonkey.com/account/preferences This is not visible to anyone but you and an admin trying to assist you. We will not be able to manually reset your account password without verifying you with this (and some other basic) info. The first course of action will always be to direct you to the password reset which will email you a link to change your password. This can be found here: Lost Password | Survival Monkey Forums and you might need to check your spam folder if you aren't receiving the email. As always, member security is a huge priority at SM
We need a "Laughing so hard I pee'd myself" instead of just " ".... @melbo Your security answer deserves that..
