  1. I made this video to set the record straight. there is so much misguided information out there even the celebrity survival experts don't get it quite right. Coconuts what you really need to know about them and how to use them in a life-or-death scenario.

OK, so I can't reason my way into a situation where coconuts are going to help me in PNW. I still think this is one of the most informative vids I've seen. Thanks for posting.

What? You can't really use them to make a bra? Next I suppose you are going to tell me that that 1960's documentary about that millionaire and famous Hollywood starlet and those other people shipwrecked on that desert isle was faked...

In a PNW, I will wear two coconuts in my pants, and they will knock together when I walk. Thus, people will know not to mess with one such as I.

Also, when I run they will clop loudly and quickly, and my enemies will think I have escaped them on horseback.

I would think that walking around with coconuts in your pants, that having 'enemies' come after you would be the least of your problems...

I occasionally feel like I oughta move down that way. Seem to get on with the locals.

  16. Great video. I've got a dozen coconuts growing in Ecuador. What variety do you have there? I'm growing a mix of green and yellow, but I have no idea what their real names are. The locals just call them verde and amarillo. So far all I've learned from growing coconuts is that horses will eat the leaves faster than the tree can replace them.

  17. one of the big problems with telling the variety is that they cross-pollinate so much it's really hard to say my best guess is the Coconuts in the video where a type of Samoan coconut

Do you ever make, or use, coconut oil yourself? I have lived in Southeast Asia for going on two decades. Traveling here a decade prior to then. One early thing I learned about coconuts was making and using coconut oil. Very healthy and a number of uses. I take a teaspoon full every day.

I am not sure if you were talking about drinking the coconut water, or eating them - when saying not to do so all the time. But, you can never drink too much coconut water, in my opinion anyway. I drink it regularly, and recommend others to do so as well.

Monty Python's Holy Grail comes to mind here, for some reason.

  19. in the video I say that the younger coconuts have less oil and are less likely to make you have diarrhea. people that have never had fresh coconut water or coconut ever in their life there's a possibility they could get diarrhea.

    thank you for watching

You may have misunderstood me. To make coconut oil, any usable amount anyway, takes a number of coconuts and a bit of work in the kitchen. This is what I meant:- Google Search: How To Make Coconut Oil
I wasn't referring to the water inside them. I will assume that to be "No," then. You should try it sometime.
