If you plan to have water pressure at your retreat after the event you might want to consider this. Very inexpensive (less than $25 on Amazon) and effective. Benefits include, less TP to store, less strain on your septic system, less litter to dispose of and improved sanitation. Installation is simple. It bolts under the commode lid using the same bolts and hooks into the water supply at the tank. Less than 10 minutes total. Drawbacks include getting use to it and convincing your wife and daughters it's not gross. But, then again, they have never used an outhouse. I am sure some of you are familiar with the concept. I had to add 3 1"x3/8th round rubber washer between the unit and the seat attachment to get the seat to lay correctly on the toilet rim. Believe it or not, most countries around the world have Bidets in their bathrooms. Europe (East and West), Middle East, Central Asia... I can't understand why North America doesn't have them...one of those 'it ain't American' things, I imagine. They're great! Especially during the hot weather. Women especially love them! I will definitely install them should I ever build a house here.
and most can be adjusted to warm , this unit I can see getting me off the throne with a squirt of ice water on the back door . TP is better that leaves / old papers & catalogues of the shiny !!! phone books were good.
Here is a temp adjustable one.............. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EXSZ0YK/?tag=survivalmonke-20

I think he got a real fancy one for his tush
A large roll of plastic tubing behind the toilet might get the water to room temperature at least. May try that this winter if it's unbearable. I'm sure my wife can find something on Pinterest to make it look snazzy.
