We should plan a Spring rendezvous for trading ideas and supplies. Most folks usually get too caught up in the day to day to actually meet at a location and camp so I am investigating the idea of a virtual rendezvous. This could be accomplished by posting trades, skills, and items of interest and anyone with an interest could suggest a trade or barter. Looking for ideas here...

Me thinks that maybe we should try to plan a full on gathering somewhere central to those who could attend. Maybe try to get 10-15 together?

Or the virtual route like you mentioned. Be cool to have one big video conference.

I like the face to face. I would have a much better chance of making an event that we can pick a date for. As compared to trying to make a fixed date.

Let's start tossing dates out then.

So we have our first 'west of the missippi' post... Have to shift the meet west a bit.... LOL

Actually, I'd love to have a big physical meeting in the center of all of us.
For us Eastern guys, Knob Creek is a tried and true, just never been able to get more than 2-3 new guys to show up. My son has recruited about 10 for the fall KC shoot. ghrit? you able to come south a bit for that?

Time and date dependent. As of now, nothing on the horizon for fall. May even have this project wrapped by then, but it looks to go a bit longer. Crystal ball is very murky this time of year. (Still trying to clear the calendar for the Dragon's Tail this spring, but there is an interference looming for that, too. Damn, life is full of uncertainty these days.)

Springbreak is early March, the 2nd thru the 11th, IIRC. Otherwise its after May, and then only if I get it on the calendar now.

I would be willing to go as far west as almost any state the has the Mississippi River as its eastern border. The exception might be the states to the far north and south. Don't know if that helps any.....but would like to meet some of you face to face.

Want to, rather more than a little bit. Last year was crushed by several things I couldn't avoid. Want to get there before the crowds hit. What do you ride?

I guess I'm a throwback of sorts, still on sporty stuff. I have zero experience hauling anything more than a camera and rain gear. '04 Triumph ST

Those are cooooll!!! bunch of triumph guys on wi moto.com. One of the st4 guys puts beaucoup miles on his, he takes off for the dragon from wisconsin like he's goin tothe corner for beer...,I'm gettin' back into riding after a 12 year lay off ( long twisted story, some day i'll splain it to ya over a guiness)...last bike before the layoff was an hd bagger, the wing was cheap, and though people laugh they really are pretty good bikes..

I cannot laugh at wings, I've seen them purr, and have owned several Hondas, great respect for the breed. Fact is, I would have bought a VFR, but this one came up for a lot less money, so I bit. But this trumpet is a blast on the back roads. I paid too much for it, tho'. I can exceed any speed limit on the planet in third gear, and I have 6 to play with. Much regretted, but I've not put as many miles on it as I would have liked the last three years, been either too wet, too hot, or too busy.

I also have several stories that lead up to getting back on a bike after many years off.

The guiness sounds pretty good. Especially after a day of first gear on the Dragon. There are a couple members in that area, might have to make a several days trip of it and take some guns along. That said, might trailer it down, these old bones are not convinced that my mind is right to think of riding down. A long day, but doable. Still thinking --[dunno]

for what it's worth, I live an hour from Deals Gap, AKA the dragon. Rode it many times on bike and by car/truck

Lot of fun. Be careful, we lose a few a month...:sneaky:
