Some nice gentleman in a brown truck left a package by my door. Now what to do with a case of M193...

Waiting for the ground to dry out to get some stuff in the garden...this weekend is supposed to be dry, so hope is still there :)

Started 8 blueberry plants from cutting will see how that goes, setting fence for cattle and new garden location. Last storm left me a couple cords of soon to be firewood.

Put in 3 blueberry plants last weekend. I know yellow labs love to eat them, but now I shall see if anything else shows interest ;) Hopefully, not.
Kinda light on other preps...1000 nitrile gloves was it.
Put in some strawberry plants, too...now, wild strawberries (the itty bitty ones) are all over the yard! Hope they don't cross germinate - or if they do, it is for larger fruit.

This was actually last weekend (just been too long, since I was last here....shame on me!).
(Mylar) Bagged & Bucketed the following:
    24# Black beans
    14# Navy beans
    14# Green split peas
    60# Pinto beans
    6# Great Northern beans
    18# Kidney beans, and
    49# Long Grain Enriched Rice.

Stopped at Sam's Club, Friday, and picked up 24# of black beans, and another 50# bag of kidney beans, along with a package of Quaker Oats instant oatmeal, in a 10# size (two 5# bags). Figured I'd store them in Mylar bags for a year or two, and see how fresh they still taste, then decide whether or not to continue storing them, or just go buy some long-term stored, retail oats.

I also stopped by my nearby Walmart bakery, this morning, and picked up almost a dozen food grade buckets, of various sizes. They charge $1/bucket, but they're in good shape (all I did was wash them, and set them out to dry), and the girl counted 8 (at a buck apiece), basically giving me 3, for free. (y)

This weekend, I started out moving my 4x8 foot above ground grow boxes out to the back end of the back yard, where they should see plenty of sunlight. Lots of dirt to move, too, but I figure I have at least a couple weeks, before anything is ready to go in the ground. Lots of seedlings started, with about half already poking up out of the seed starting media, so hopefully we'll have a good growing season, this year.

Sliced up a 10 lb smoked ham and a 10lb smoked turkey for sammitch meat. Beats the heck out of paying 7 bux a pound at the deli counter. Wrap in wax paper then vac seal and freeze.

I didn't put anything away but I found a source for clean restaurant buckets.I also put no flat wheels on my generator. Best investment IMO. They are lighter then the original wheels on the generator and after multiple flats, these things are great. And they roll nicely.

Those tires are the cat's meow! Did the same thing with our genny last year...no more digging out the air hose.

Finally found some subsonic .22 CB shorts...hens' teeth are more common ;)
Also acquired a stovetop oven for the wood stove.

Nothing. We havent put anything away for the last couple months. But we rarely do this time of year. Just been focusing on financials and trying to get this new component working right. Once its done We hope to start building the house on our land.

I did manage to procure another 10 gal cask and put some wheated bourbon in it.

Didn't put anything away yet other than over buying at the store like we do every week, but I did clean up the threads on the frame so that we can put a hitch on the SUV. $12 for the right size thread tap and the weld nuts are good as new. Took 20 minutes and saved me I don't know how much over having the shop do it.

Won't be putting the hitch on yet as the wife was rear ended on Friday and they'll need to fix the bumper for us, and I figure one less thing for them to have to work around. But I'll be putting it on instead of the u-haul dealer and save ANOTHER $135. :)

I inked a new job deal this week..... picked up a nice increase in pay, cut my commute in half and opened some doors for future growth. I have to give my notice pretty quick....dreading that, yet looking forward to new challenges!!

Be happy you had a new one landed before the door shut behind you on the old one. Hope it works. Remember to tell your boss you want his job and will make him look so good that the brass will promote him and get him out of your way to his chair.
