Are you prepared for all emergency's, if not, what are your holes in preparedness supplies. Where do you need to get better with your skill set's?

I've come round to the thinking that no one can be ready for everything. That being said we here are prepped well for what we consider to be the most likely causes of SHTF. There is always room for improvement as time, money and space allow. It's a lifestyle and as such it's ever changing.

On line, so far as I know, only on line.

Barely, Sears/K-Mart are dropping fast, closing stores left and right. There's one left in this nekka, about 70 miles away. The other two (at about 40 miles each) closed last year.

Not ready, working hard every day though. This is our first year living off-grid and I am constantly adjusting my focus to deal with issues as they arise. Right now it is the heat, I thought a concrete house partially underground would be nice and chilly in the summer, but it's not. Concrete gets hot when the sun shines on it and the exposed portions are generating more heat than the underground portions can cool. It is also humid, the house is airtight and any moisture from showers, dishes, etc. sticks around. So this week I am focused on cooling and dehumidifying the house with a mini split AC system. Before I could install the AC I needed to add more solar panels and I got that done earlier this week. Next, I will insulate the exposed portions of the concrete and wait for all of that concrete mass to cool down. I can't wait to be done with the heat issue so I can focus on other areas that need attention.

All I know is I shop three months ahead I feel I have to have at least 3 months of supplies of paper goods, can goods about 6 months then I have my preps that I look at differently. I like to buy bulk or on sale and also like to have a good selection.

There are plenty of canned meats chili stews Ravioli Chinese dinners and then there are dried noodles Tortellini and packaged noodle dinners and soups that last quite a while . dried fruit like raisins bananas mango papaya and other fruit.

Everyone needs to understand or at least I do that I am not going to eats more than 2 meals a day there will be no leftovers make enough and consume it or waste not want not it is better to start rationing right away or be foolish and burn through your stores nibbling like a rat continuously.

We need to relearn eating eat slower leave nothing I watched a friends kid eat a can of ravioli and left most of the sauce some cut the crust off bread leaving food on the plate when I was a kid was a mortal sin you made your own plate took what you wanted but cleaned your plate.

just picked up another almost new fiber drum - already have one full of smashed flat TP rolls - 108 rolls if I remember the inventory count correctly - thinking about filling and storing this one in my house attic - TP is one of those SHTF items that aren't heat/temp change effected .....

plenty of tall grass year round for that :) Been my experience that what you are least prepared for is what most likely happens and what you are best prepared for never happens.

I did some remodeling for a guy a few years ago,,,he was getting ready for his Phillipino wife and daughter to come over. He had me install one of those Bidet seats,,,,it had more buttons than the one you have pictured. Me and my helper were in this small little toilet room, nowhere near big enough for 2 people,,,I ran the power line,,, hooked everything up ,, and he reaches over and pushes a button ,, and that little nozzle started moving into position,,,, we both 'bout shit trying to get out of the way of the squirter,,,,,,luckily,,,I hadn't turned the water back on,,, :ROFLMAO:,,,,
