Tonights 10+lb roast beef is currently enjoying the warming glow of my oven Looks like ive been a bit slack updating this thread, will try to play catch-up and get some more photoes posted. Valentines dinner... Me- 24oz bone in ribeye with bone marrow butter, Dh had the 14oz butterflied fillet with whiskey infused tellcherry pepper sauce. Grilled hallomi fries, fried shiitake mushrooms and padron peppers. Starter/side was coconut prawns with a chilli lime mayo. Dessert, some sortta rasberry, whipped double cream & mascarpone concoction I made up
Thank you for the up-date. I always learn something. Halloumi or haloumi is a semi-hard, unripened, brined cheese made from a mixture of goat's and sheep's milk, and sometimes also cow's milk. It is like a cheese stick but not mozzarella. It is a brined cheese. What does that taste like? Texture?
Yeah, its made in cyprus. Kinda hard to describe the texture, it keeps its shape when cooked (dosent melt) and toast up really easily. Closests I could describ is sorta spongy / rubbery? But that makes it sound bad and its not.
In case you havent noticed, I really like bone in ribeyes... and bone marrow butter... think theres some mushrooms on the plate somewhere to. Small (8 oz)ribeye, giant scallops, grilled hallomi and avocado Slow roasted pork butt with crackling, grilled asparagus and baby toms
Bone in ribeye Probably around 26-28oz with grilled padron peppers and shiitake mushrooms and the leftover coleslaw from the previous day Salted carmel brownie with whipped cream(yes, its keto. No sugar, flour etc)
Chicken carbonara? I think.. i remember I was playing around with palmini.... (noodle substitute) but these are from a while back so I cant quite remember everything. Beef & lamb meatballs & sauce over palmini “noodles”
