BIG ONE EARTHQUAKE IS VERY CLOSE

Tracking seismic activity is an interesting hobby, right up there with hurricane tracking. The difference is that hurricane landfall can be forecast pretty accurately, AND there is an end point. As near as I can discern, there's no end point, perhaps even no point at all in trying to use past and/or current seismic activity to predict the next big one, or even a small one.

The sky is still falling. Tell me where and when it will hit the ground and have it do that, and some credibility will be established.

There are some knowns involved, and the "experts" refuse to acknowledge at least one of them because they just so happen to involve water and gas pumping and drilling operations. Because money talks.
Another, would be the electric solar influence, and Ben at Suspicious Observers has been making excellent progress with his Earthquake Prediction app. Once again, the "experts" are slow at coming around to acknowledging the importance our star has on the global electric grid and its correlation with seismic activity. If we could see deep into the Earth, everywhere and anywhere in an instant, we'd easily be at the same level as hurricane tracking. But. there's something about the theory Dutch is proposing and has proven with astonishing accuracy, and that's the very simple principle of energy movement along plate boundaries. Once again, the "experts" are not supportive. Most likely, it's due to the fact that they require funding to "research" this more. A lot of funding, more funding, plenty of funding, can't get enough funding...because 'Murica.

Supposing there is correlation between water or petroleum pumping in one or another aquifer or oil bearing strata and seismic events that I haven't seen as there may well be, so far there has been no predictive data other than general statements that there's a quake coming.

Yes, we know (or at least can approximate and model) the techtonics mechanisms that cause quakes. And yep, there are not now and never have been scientific papers written, peer reviewed and published, that did not end with "more research is needed." And grant proposals are always on the table. But for all the research, all the money spent, and worries raised among the worry warts and folks all of a sudden awakened to natural phenomina that have been going on for eons and fallen off the log of sheeping existances, there are still exactly zero means to predict quakes or volcanic eruptions other than generalized statements to the effect that (_________) is coming (soon or otherwise.)

The sky is still up there.

PS: All the moaning and groaning about how fracking was going to disturb geology and create quakes, there has been zero quaking from water and sand injection in tight strata gas wells. I live there.

And once again, Ghrit ASSumes far too much. There 's no Chicken Little fearmongering from where I sit, nor from the thousands of INDEPENDENT researchers out there who work in EARNEST to scientifically search for answers. Once again, you take shit off the deep end and ASSume that everybody is a lunatic for daring to question .GOV

    Good for you, Sir.

Now, on the topic at hand, you are quite mistaken about "zero quaking" from water and sand injection. Looking at any earthquake map will prove this. As for the quality of drinking water, well we're only human, we don't need fresh, clean drinking water freely available to us from the Earth, the corporations can just sell us bottled water, right? Does living near an oil or natural gas well affect your drinking water?
And this is nothing. I bet if we had a well funded effort to uncover the true risks, we would see plenty more.

Atmospheric science can not predict with accuracy the exact place a hurricane will hit when it starts in Africa. This has been proven many times. Almost 100% seismic prediction is at this time within a 45 seconds but scientists can not predict an exact date. So far my educated opinion has proven to be close.

The April 2016 7.8M earthquake should be on list too. I live 175 km from epicenter.

The California authorities have issued a preparedness campaign that offers communities courses on earthquake emergencies.
California has water resources problems and this will create a huge problem in communities. I would advise people in California to build a cistern. If you need a tech drawing to build it let me know I can post a pdf or send it to you. Better do it now otherwise the gallons of water you keep for emergencies will last you a few hours or days.

In 2008 USGS said that California Has More Than 99% Chance Of A Big Earthquake WIthin 30 Years. That is 11 years ago. That means California could get a 6.7M or larger earthquake from now to 19 years. The clock is ticking be prepared!

USGS shows a new 5.0M earthquake North of Ridgecrest, California. The epicenter was at what appears to be a military base. Guess what google map shows no name for that army base. I discovered it while studying topography of earthquake. I am not saying I discovered anything secret.(maybe?). Why google would not tag a name to the base? Anyway earthquake was very shallow at a depth of 2.4 km so it must have shaken houses a lot. First image is google earth software, 2nd same(look at the tanks!), third is google maps.

Yes. there has been seismic activity on this area which means you have a possible bigger earthquake building up pressure on the earth layers bellow. This is an area to watch!

If you are interested. You should open a new thread in the forum to let people in that area know about the dangers.

I traced USGS New Madrid Seismic Zone area in Google Earth software. Lots of people living in a very dangerous seismic zone. Look at the elevation profile. It sure shows why this area has had such violent seismic history. temblor.

I must remind everyone that I am not a geologist or seismic scientist. I love this subject and have studied this subject on my own for decades. Scientists say that they do not know how to predict earthquakes. My speculation they know, but can not make it public since it could cause caos!
