For the last few days we have had afternoon thunderstorms pop up complete with small hail. Yesterday, the hail was bigger. Lots bigger. Tennis ball size bigger! So, for the second time in 3years we get to replace our roof. Again. Not only was the roof damaged, but with our garage filled with boxes from our recent move, we can only get one car inside, leaving one outside that now has dimples like a.golf ball as well as a broken windshield and some of the trim knocked off. Aaaarggghhhh!

I began the insurance claims last night online. Hail season here usually runs through mid-June, so I'm in no great screaming hurry to get things totally fixed.

This is NOT what my retirement is supposed to be like!

    What kind of roof?
My roof appears to be oak planks with steel. It's laughed off the last 3 golf ball size hail storms like they were a stupid joke.

Arizona roofs in older homes are built right.

Our roof is steel reinforced concrete. 3 skylights with double layered safety glass. Talk about work building it! But that was 25 years ago and I don't figure I need to be hanging by a rope and harness at this point in my life and that was why I built for retirement.

That kind of hail would devastate us.....way too much skyward facing glass between solar panels and sky lights. Fortunately, the biggest hail I've ever seen here might run slightly larger than garden peas, and it's fairly infrequent.

Well , all those dimples on the car may make it more aerodynamic ,, that's what all those dimples are for on a golf ball ,,, hope everything will be ok for you , and hopefully no real major damage

Get ready for more hail storms, with bigger ice.

No, not climate change - solar forcing... All, I'm told, on account of a shrinking magnetosphere...

Stop spraying the high chem trails , I see them daily on days of rain coming .
And there are many,, I can see the normal deltas and 767's with my eye, check on Flight 42 (aircraft internet radar)
The chem trail layers are not to bee seen and never show up on Flight 42 ..

It is climate change, just not the kind we can fix with ridiculous energy taxes, forced poverty, banning air travel and other stupidity.
The only way to fix it is to become a type 1 civilization.
