    Aloha! I haven't been as on the ball with my workouts these past few days as I'd like. On Saturday and Sunday I took a full rest days because my body needed it. Doing 5 workouts a week feels pretty intense. The scheduled workouts were yoga on Saturday and stretching on Sunday so I don't think I really missed out on anything. Plus I'm in the process of moving so that requires lots of movement and activity. That's right, we are leaving this land of super hot weather, fire ants, and fungus for the best weather in the state! I'm glad we're doing it before the weather gets hot.
    Today we went on a mini roadtrip to pick up the components for our solar setup. Over the weekend my dome got its walls and front door and today we installed solar! I'm so excited. Everything is coming together nicely.
    Food has been mostly grab and go so not super nutrient dense, but I'm not going to dwell on it because I don't think I've gotten out of control. Besides, we stopped at the world famous Punalu'u Bake Shop which is known for its baked goods and malasadas and used the restroom. I didn't even look at the pastries and wasn't tempted by the smells either. That's progress!
    I didn't have time to do today's planned workout, but I'm not going to stress about that either. I'll just pick up where I left off tomorrow!

    I think for this season in my life I'm not going to be getting over 22,000 steps everyday. Today I got 11,365 steps.
    Im also going to have to drop the workout plan that requires dumbbells and equipment because I'm very busy with moving and home building.
    Tomorrow is going to be my annual check up and I'm glad that I checked my voicemail because the clinic changed locations. Lol.

    The only thing I’ve changed recently is a stretching/lifting routine. That inner area I thought was groin is actually (through reading) hip flexibility issues. Working one area (running) evidently causes problems with another if not addressed periodically. I’ve already noticed a big difference. Yippee.

    I'm glad you were able to figure out the cause of the issue. It's really good that the stretching is making a difference. Do you foam roll too?

    I used to foam roll every morning as a part of my morning routine and as a warm up before leg workouts and I think it helped a lot. Especially with the it band area. I should start again. I'm going to add that to the list.

    I had a really good annual check up yesterday! My doctor was really impressed with my lab work results and said that my a1c isn't just barely normal; I'm well into the healthy range now.
    Also, I'm super excited about the fact that my blood pressure isn't high anymore! I was worried that I was going to have to give up coffee / caffeine, but it looks like I can continue to partake.
    Thank you for holding me accountable here. In March it will be 2 years since we started this thread!

    It’s been great. Below is a pic from one of my tournaments putting it on a fella. (Nice fella but he’s in my way, lol.) This sub is called an Americana which I’ve used about 4 times now. It just falls into my lap so…In real life (street fight) he’s not using that shoulder for a year. Ouch!

    I've been so tired lately even though I haven't been as active as I was these last two months. I'm trying to keep a healthy and non obsessive mindset around it all. I think I'm doing pretty well with my nutrition and I passively got over 10,000 steps today.
    There's a shower in the dome now and we want to start collecting water in the brand new Catchment, but we haven't had rain in a few weeks.
    Pray for rain, everyone!
    Also, Happy St. Valentine's Day!

    I'm still getting over 10,000 steps every day so I'm happy about that! Not a lot of dedicated workouts right now, but I'm staying very active so that's good.

    Zimmy Wait, I'm not ready!

    Labs came back from the doctor today. The only parameter out of range is I have high good cholesterol and extremely out of range high testosterone.

    The doc halved all my meds again because my BP was 100/77. I'm on minimums now.

    Yeah, everything has looked kinda like a nail recently. I'm good with that.
