Nothing new to report really. Still running, light lifting and class at 5. I’m eating homemade pizza again tonight with my oldest daughter’s sourdough. She has a farm stand with sourdough items and a few other things. She’s killing it! Good girl.

Very nice! It's labor intensive, but I think it's worth-it. We are trying to catch pigs too. I hear them every night outside of my window...

I successfully made it to week #2/10 of this program that I'm working through. My weight did go up 2 lbs. but I can tell that I'm building muscle. I did a total body workout yesterday and leg day today.
Since I'm trying to fit gardening into my daily routine, my workouts have been happening at night. Motivation isn't as high at night, but I'm glad that I'm showing up and getting it done.
    Have a wonderful week, everyone!

I really admire your routine! We had pizza tonight too, but it wasn't homemade and probably as amazing as yours. It was a gluten free thin crust spinach feta with white sauce. Also broiled salmon. Great fuel for tonight's workout!

Things are really good over here! Yesterday I did a shoulder and core workout and today is going to be a total body workout. I'm getting at least 10,000 steps everyday and have backed off a little from dancing and hula hooping, but that's okay. Gardening is keeping me busy and the heat is a quick energy drain...
    I think it's time for coffee #3!
    Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

I'm getting ready for a shoulders and legs workout tonight and looking forward to it! This will be the last workout of week #2 / 10. After after next week (week #3) I'll start a new series of exercises!

This afternoon I tilled the 3 sister's garden plot. We are going to finish fencing it in so that it doesn't get dug up by the wild pigs.

I'm finally starting to spend more time reading too.
    I'm currently reading:
"Real Americans" by Rachel Khong It's really good and I'm enjoying it so far. Here's the description: Real Americans begins on the precipice of Y2K in New York City, when twenty-two-year-old Lily Chen, an unpaid intern at a slick media company, meets Matthew. Matthew is everything Lily is not: easygoing and effortlessly attractive, a native East Coaster, and, most notably, heir to a vast pharmaceutical empire. Lily couldn't be more different: flat-broke, raised in Tampa, the only child of scientists who fled Mao’s Cultural Revolution. Despite all this, Lily and Matthew fall in love.

In 2021, fifteen-year-old Nick Chen has never felt like he belonged on the isolated Washington island where he lives with his single mother, Lily. He can't shake the sense she's hiding something. When Nick sets out to find his biological father, the journey threatens to raise more questions than it provides answers.

In immersive, moving prose, Rachel Khong weaves a profound tale of class and striving, race and visibility, and family and inheritance—a story of trust, forgiveness, and finally coming home.

Exuberant and explosive, Real Americans is a social novel par excellence that asks: Are we destined, or made? And if we are made, who gets to do the making? Can our genetic past be overcome?

"Growing Orchids for Beginners: A Step by Step Guide to Growing Beautiful Orchids at Home" by Kathy Campbell I just repotted my orchids and anthuriums and really want them to live. I'm going to learn as much as I can.

What are you reading or listening to?

We are working on leg locks this week. It’s one of the weakest parts of my game. Many aren’t allowed until the black belt level in competition because of the damage they can cause. I’ll post a video of simple one that’s legal at all levels. Achilles lock. Ouch!

I started week #3 / 10 and I'm feeling really strong and good about things. This week I'm really dialing in my nutrition and want to continue to make progress towards my goals. I did total body yesterday and leg day today. Hope you will all have a wonderful week!
You've probably noticed that I'm not posting a lot here and it's because I've been minimizing my digital presence everywhere, but I still like showing up in this thread because it has helped me improve my life in so many ways. Thank you for being here, everyone! You inspire me!
Here's a progress pic. I'm excited because I feel like I'm starting to get some good muscle tone in my back and upper body.

Today the heat is kicking my butt and I'm praying for heavy rain because we are on rain water catchment and it has been very dry, lately.
I'm trying to do a much better job of staying hydrated... If coffee and caffeine counted, then I'd be golden, but we all know that it doesn't :coffee:.
I have a total body workout to do and it's probably my least favorite set of exercises because there are dips and lunges...
Do you have an exercise that you love to hate?

“Grinders” in my garage. Lol. Back and forth, back and forth touching a piece of duct tape on the floor on each end. My secret is I turn on Metallica, One specifically. It’s about the right length and it eases the suffering somewhat. I still do my one mile or so run as well, both are over in 8 to 9 minutes, good enough for this old fart.
