In the unreal best situation where I am left alone in peace which will never happen, between my Aprox 300 water bottles (10 24 packs) & waterBob & washing, 10 months or so. Of course my sister's family who doesn't prepare whatsoever will probably use a third of that. My best situration is that water is a gradual turn off & same with law and order in the initial first 2 weeks and somehow I can transfer my resources to my sister's House. MY water supply wiould then last me 3-4 months at best.

You could survive in a totally out of the way hidden place but you'd need pleanty of security and guns none unfortunately is the situation I find myself fn. Yeah with more money I could implement my plan of various residents and locations but unfortunately I haven't hit the jackpot financially with my recordings, like "Thermonuclear Reaction' by Ventriloquism, which I wrote, produced, arranged and recorded along with the rest of my upcoming album but it takes money to make money.

I have not heard of this product before. So one of your bathtubs is occupied by emergency water storage?
Do you also have water bricks? It's great if you have space for them!
I heard that New Orleans was without running water for 2 weeks following Katrina.
A few months of water & food should be enough for any severe natural or manmade disaster,
other than something extreme like WMD.

Can you make friends with some men in your apartment building, maybe some older white men, to form a group to defend the apartment building in the event of some anarchy?

Or you can always hide in your apartment and hope that no one comes by to rob you.
If you shoot at them when they try, you might scare them away.
Most criminals are opportunists and will move on to an easier target.
But if there is a gang or some other organised force, then you may be in big trouble.
You will need other people to help you protect the building, or at least your wing of it.
You will also need to sleep and do things other than guarding the building.

Is your apartment on the ground floor?
Can your apartment easily be perforated by several gunmen? From the street, front lawn, parking, back yard?

If so, then it is indefencible. :( It would be better to be on one of the upper floors.
Can you be bombed easily by someone with a Molotov?
Also, is it a wooden building, can it burn down easily?

Ah, have you tried this thing called AI? It can do this for you. And ya might actually make money if you find the right audience. The 1960s is no longer in vogue.

If you are going to store water inside your apartment use a load bearing wall, it will usually have more support. water weighs 8# a gallon. Believe me it adds up. I am unfamiliar with the building quality in your area but some I've seen is spooky to say the least.
I have built false walls and hidden food in there knowing it will only be accessed in an emergency any one breaking may not take the time to tear walls part. Look into secret rooms.

So don't use a tent! I've spent the last 40 years Civil War re-enacting, sleeping on the ground with a couple of wool blankets and ponchos...in all kinds of weather (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.) ...while being eaten alive by skeeters, chiggers and ticks. Why? Because my ancestors did it and I wanted to prove that I could do it too!
The Boy Scouts was created as a para-military training organization for boys. Didn't know that did you? What did you think all of that hiking, camping, first-aid, knots, swimming, shooting, boating, signaling, cooking, etc. was about? Not to mention the uniforms, rank, badges and awards. My Scoutmasters were combat veterans from WW2 and Korea, and that explained a lot when I think about it. Scouting wasn't just fun in the great outdoors; it was preparing young men for an uncertain future.

I spent nearly 3 years living and thriving in Yugoslavia, the cities were completely wasted, there was nothing worth venturing in for, and nothing worth taking the time to scrounge up, your only chance was the farms or small villages if you could provide a fair trade to them, the farms were all over ran by the rival gangs, so food was super hard to come by, but if you timed it right, you might get lucky and manage to dig up a few potatoes or maybe half rotted onions! Water was scarce, you had to go to the source, or as close as you could get, and you had to boil and treat it before ever thinking of drinking or making food with it, between all the poisons and dead bodies, it was a wonder there was any water at all, it was so bad, finding a reliable source of good clean water was worth more than all the gold or drugs or high end Mercedes Benz cars, water was life, and with out it, your were sick, and the food you ate didn't stay in your body very long, or if it did, your body spent more energy fighting the toxins then the nourishment provided! The further away from society you managed to go, the better your chances of survival. there were still animals to be found in those remote places, clean water, wild fruits and berries, and other edible foods if you knew what and where to look! Makes for very lonely existence, but it sure beats the alternative!
We had to work the small towns and villages and earn their trust and that took time, the one thing we had to be very careful about was sharing food, if word got out that you gave someone something, the next thing you knew, you were being over ran by hungry folks demanding a share of whatever you might have!
The wild side of that was, the big guys with all the guns that had taken everything, they partied like it was 1999 and burned through it all, and ended up just like everyone else, begging! Saw one Heavy offering a pretty big cache of guns and ammo for a halfway decent meal for himself, that's pretty desperate if you ask me! I gave him a sammich and he told me and the team everything we could have ever wanted to know, he would have sold his soul to us for a Hershey's chocolate bar!
I was super slick in handling new towns and villages, I went for the kids first, give them a "Check Up" with my stethoscope and red cross patches, and a hand full of penicillin pills and such, but the one medicine that ALWAYS worked was those common american halloween sized Hershey's bars, you hand a kid one of those, he/she will tell you anything, all the while his mom or grand father is arguing with my team members over stupid little details, and refusing to help or cooperate or answer questions! Funny thing was, the kids would always betray them, ALWAYS, they trusted me and by red cross patches, and They were rewarded with chocolates and pills and a big drink of bottled water! The Moms or Grand Fathers were flabbergasted at how fast and efficiently I had gotten all the information the team was wanting, all from the kids! This earned trust, it took time, but it took way less time than any other methods, and it wasn't abusing my position or trust, I was just playing my roll and getting a fair trade in the deal!
