Thank you! In 2019 I was almost 200 lbs. and then I fluctuated between 160-175 for years so this is the type of progress I never dreamed that I would be able to make. Thank you for encouraging me through the years and for sharing your goals and progress too!

I'm sending you hugs through this anniversary time. I'm sorry about your loss and may he rest in peace.
The finality of it all feels so sad, but it makes me appreciate my life and the time that we had together. Also really motivates me to continue with this health journey.
I think your dad would be proud of you and all you are doing with your life. Look at how much you've turned your life around healthwise!
I'm very thankful that you're here.

@hot diggity Overuse injuries to that degree really are awful and I'm sorry that you had those two falls. I think that being injured and being overweight are super humbling (I've been both many times and am also in recovery mode.)

It sounds like you have a really good routine and plan to heal.

Thank you for sharing and keep us updated on how things are going.

I've been doing my workouts and felt really strong this week, but also tired.
I think that I'm mostly injury free at the moment so that's a good feeling.

This last week was stressful and I had a few setbacks. My weight went up a few lbs, but it's most likely due to girl things and I need to get better quality sleep.

The rainy season has started and it's cutting into my daily step count and outside time...

It is now Week #9/9. I'm happy that I've made it this far. Next week I think I'm going to take a deload week (or two) to rest and recover before I jump into another program.

I did manage to do 13 chin-ups in a row this week. That seems to be where I'm at for now because it gets me to muscle failure.

Another exciting development is that I'm dancing very consistently again.

Hope you will all have a wonderful week!

My vitality is through the freaking roof. I definitely don't need testosterone boosters. Staying zero sugar and eating plenty of meat definitely has its advantages. I'm in my 50's and people can't believe I'm older than 25.

Now I'm replacing 2 tons of metal roof all by my self. I go till I can really start to feel it then I go do something else that isn't as back and shoulders intensive then hit it again in the evening when it cools off.
Yeah it's November, but it will still hit nearly 90f here in New Mexico.

You are amazing! And it's inspiring to hear how your lifestyle is paying off like this in so many ways. How do you do zero sugar? I was going to try in August, but I failed :/

That is an incredible workout, but sounds so intense! I hope you have some good safety gear. Metal roofing is heavy. I wish I could help. Stay safe!

Hey Everyone! Hope you're all doing well. I'm currently deloading for possibly 2 weeks (rather than one) and filling all of my time with gardening. Got a massive squash harvest and got to enjoy the pumpkin patch of my dreams.
Hear is my upper body progress. In July, I injured my rotator cuff when I was trying to learn how to do wide-grip pull-ups. I had to modify everything and do a lot of rehab work, but I'm finally on track. Some of these are still partials, but last week I was able to do 16 chin-ups. Also, this was after a full workout so I reached muscle failure.

Geez, that’s not easy. I can only do about 8 or 9 and they’re not all the way down. Good job.

Thank you so much! Someday I'd like to be able to do them from a dead hang... That could take awhile.

    Zimmy Wait, I'm not ready!

My testosterone is high, too on this high protien and low carb diet. It is so nice to be strong again.

My heart has been confirmed to be fully recovered. My docs are shocked but I give all the credit to the prayers of others on my behalf and regular dosing of white liquor.

Daily, I'm speed marching 3 miles after work with my GHB. GHB is down to 19.4 pounds (no irritating bouncy bedroll attached for now) and there's a little more fluff standing out in there now I am getting more intimate with it.

I am so excited my waist is now smaller than my hips! I have to undo my pants to take them off. That sounds silly to be proud of to some, but my waistband has been under the curve for decades. 58" to 34" waist! I am about 215# now from 388# then.

I am doing a hold on weight loss this month and will push for a goal of 200 pounds through December.

I still can't jump around until the hernia is fixed.

This level of waistline reduction is huge and so amazing!!! I'm trying to work on this myself... Those Darn love handles. Lol.
Keep up the amazing work and healing!

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

Some things that I've learned during this first "deload week" is that I still suck at resting and relaxing...
In fact, I feel way more exhausted from doing way less. I'm not getting any restful sleep and yesterday I acknowledged the fact that I've been stuck in "fight or flight mode." Still worried that something bad is going to happen.

Rest and recovery is also a really important part of the journey and I'm trying to get better at this. I think that these are side effects from grief and I hope they will come down in intensity soon. I am getting sleep once I can slow down enough, but I don't feel rested by the time I wake up yet. I'm not having nightmares so that's progress.

This week I was able to read a few books so that's progress because my ability to sit still and focus has been completely shot since July (the month my dad passed.)

Let me know if you have any tips or tricks for rest, recovery, and focus.

Today I am 3D printing and gardening.
