    It seems to me mankind is now reaping the rotten fruits of it arrogance and abuse towards nature and the natural world.

    I would think that the insect population would be pretty happy with this news.

    That could well be so. The windshield (and visor) collections seem heavier than they used to be.

    Last spring was very silent around the flowers of my neighbors cherry tree. This year things have increased at least 100% so I am encouraged that some of the hives have weathered the "virus". Last summer, local honey was running $15-20 for a quart jar and the hives were hard hit.

    Even thought the WI bee keepers are still saying that the hives are still collapsing I have noticed a lot more bees around here as well.

    I haven't seen a single honeybee anywhere in my yard this year and I have lots of flowering fruit trees. ohno

    No more death from above for me...thank goodness. Though it is sad to learn of the disappearing bees, and I do understand the importance of those menacing creatures, to me, it is very joyous. Those damn things can kill me if I get stung. Highly allergic and a professional dancer to the "shoo bee get away from me" polka.
