Hi Everyone! I made it through my 12 week program and I feel wonderful! Weight is currently at 118.8 lbs with a 28.5 inch waist. I think that's a personal best as an adult who isn't a competitive swimmer anymore.

I am now taking 2 full weeks off from strength training and focusing on recovery. I'll still be doing my daily goal drills and dance practices.

I'm seriously dreading my annual physical on Wednesday. Let's just get it over with.

How are you doing this week?

I made 3 out 4 classes this week. (The work phone rang at 2:00 AM Tuesday, yuck!) Thursday I actually taught the small group because the coach was ill. I showed them what’s called the Americana then transitioning into the “gift wrap” position. If you’d like to control someone without really hurting them or choking them it’s a great hold. A small adjustment and it is game over for them however. Lol. Friday coach added one more sequence to what I had taught, it’s posted below.

Great job on making it to so many classes! 2 am that is awful. Is it stormy in your area? It's so cool that you are teaching now and could cover for the teacher.
Ugh, gift wrap looks so brutal. That's not the kind of present I would want. A little close for comfort :ROFLMAO:.
    I hope you'll have a wonderful week!

I covered his shift again, lol. We reviewed last week’s moves and I threw in a couple more. 4 people total including me which is less than normal but perfect for the situation. (Me, lol.)

That's awesome! I think you're a regular teacher now. I bet the class likes the review from last week and building upon that!

Hi Everyone! I hope you're doing well. I've been on my 2 week deload and have been enjoying it. My physical went really well and I'm so thankful to be in good health. When I first joined this forum 3 years ago, I think I was 52 lbs heavier than I am now. Back then I didn't know that it was possible for me to lose this much weight and acquire the level of health and fitness that I now have.

I know that I thank you all fairly often, but thanks again for being here with me every step of the way! You have no idea how much your encouragement has meant to me. I've taken your tips and tricks to heart and really appreciate the way that you share your goals with me.

    Let's keep going! Xoxo

    Zimmy Wait, I'm not ready!

    Great job!

I may be back to work in a couple of weeks. Fingers crossed.

I am reading Operation Gladio by Paul Williams. It is a nonfiction book about pre-Epstien corruption on a global scale. The powers that be are just terrible people.

Good class this morning. 5 total but worked out great. My last day at my current job is today, moving across the water for a few years before I retire. Yippee!

5 is still a really good amount for that early hour of the morning! I hope your last day went well. Across the water? Gig harbor? My Dad inspected girders in Korea that were used for the newer Tacoma Narrows Bridge.

Yep, I think you're officially an instructor now! I hope your main instructor will feel better soon and fully recovered before he returns.

I started Week #1 of a new 12 week program and am enjoying this structure. I'm thankful that my shoulder healed and I've started working on wide grip pull ups again. Still partials and I can't pull up to my chest yet (just chin level) someday I'll change that.
Yesterday my sugar and salt cravings were out of this world. Cherry dark chocolate (in small doses) is in the rotation I also need to hydrate better because I'm doing so much soil and mulch moving.

Here's my upper body progress / dance drills that I'm working on:

    I'm currently reading:
"The Island of Sea Women" by Lisa See. It is a Historical Fiction that starts in the 1930s-1940s era in Jeju Island, Korea, followed by World War II, the Korean War, then more modern times in 2008. I love the way that she writes Historical Fiction. The last book that I read by her, "The Tea Lady of Hummingbird Lane" was also excellent.

What are you currently reading or listening to? I had to stop listening to my old rotation of podcasts because they don't fit my current lifestyle. No more Mel Robbins (yay!) Everyone's saying, "don't be lazy! Do more! Start a business! Use AI!" I've done all that and am learning how to rest and recover. I have been watching more news for the first time since probably 2010. I'm thankful to be an American.
