Do you really think it has to do with your choice in music?

    I do!

I love a good ballad. I just can't get enough of story songs!

    Tracy,
One of my dads favorite singers was Red Sovine. My sister and I made up a CD from various artists for his service, the first song we thought to put on it was "Giddy up, Go". I always did like to listen to my dad sing along with the story songs, or 50's or 60's music.

Damn, I miss my dad sometimes.

    No prob. [winkthumb]

Okay; so now you guys have me lost in ballad-land. I'm almost done with the 100 greatest rock ballads and thirsting for more.

Can you help me find a playable list of not-rock ballads?

    Thanks for lookin'! :)

I've tried the youtube thing, but I'm not patient (or sedentary) enough to sit and clickety-clickety-click to hear music. It's just as easy to turn on the stereo. I was just hoping for a day full of stories I could sing along with (of course, the children will rejoice that I couldn't find it ;) ).

Cruise the local estate auctions. CD and vinyl collections go cheap and often contain Lightfoot, Bellefonte, and Stewart albums.
