Half of an ANVIS with an adapter by ABnightvision.com
Great unit, got a pretty good deal on it too, has risen about $350-$400 in the last 7 months. Gen III, Maintained by our resident NV expert ;)

Some pics of the unit itself with tube shot's after the sun goes down...

    Multi Use Monocular

This is a 72lpmm Autogated unit that also carries the designation NVM-001

Has a near Gen IV tube. Submersible to 66 ft, (While on!)
Came with headset, Compass, demist lens', battery adapters and a few other things

Uses AA or Cr123 (surefire) battery.

    Some image shots tonight.

A note on NV pics. I do not have an adapter to hook either of these to my camera. Both of these Mono's were clear and in focus when I looked through them. Holding the camera and trying to focus through the mono in the dark is a challenge. You can see some of the detail though they both look fuzzy to me.

The MUM dims a little more than the ANVIS and there was a LOT of light spilling out of the windows. Naked to my eye of course. I believe that is a part of the AutoGating power supply, controls the intensity and avoids washout. The ANVIS has a small Blemish in the tube. This Black spot is not cause for rejection at the factory.

Both super little NVDs and mostly compatible with PVS-14 mounting systems

How much is something like that? I've got a EoTech 552 on my AR and NV behind it woud be neat. Never wanted to spend the money for Gen 3 stuff though, but maybe I should.

Careful Melbo, I know some companies claim Gen IV, but there is no such beast. Gen III is as far as it goes. Where people get confused is that there was a Omni IV contract which is where the 72 line pair quality comes from. So some have gotten it confused and claim that they sell Gen IV.
With that said, 72lp is top of the line. The military has done some testing and the human eye can't differentiate the difference between 64 and 72lp, so the cost to produce better when the eye can't differentiate doesn't make sense. Don't expect to see NV better than 72lp.
    Good pics melbo!

I should have made that more clear. 'Near" gen IV

The only difference in the MUM and the ANVIS is the Autogated Power supply. The overall image in the gated tube is IMO, a better contrast in the overall picture. The non gated washes out a bit more. This is hair splitting because if you haven't ever looked through any NV, and you pick up either of these and take a walk outside, you will have your mouth wide open. I would rather spend the $$ on the ANVIS than the MUM if I were buying just one. I've done alright Price wise on the MUM too. No longer available for civilian consumption...

We were at knob creek camping.... the fires were almost out at 300 campsites in an open field... The place looked like a spotlight festival through the tube.

    cool stuff.

Does the MUM humm when it is on? Our V3 ANVIS have the autogated power supply and they have a distinct electronic hum. The PVS-14 has the manual gain. Sometimes I like that better, especially when I am trying to take pictures.
I love all my children equally! Wouldn't give any of them up!

Northeast of Hood. Almost exactly between Dallas and Shreveport on I20. About fifty miles away we can pick up Ghostrider.
