The Sustainable Preparedness Expo is coming to Chattanooga next month, on Sunday 3/10.

Looks like a lot of fun, with the opportunity to learn a few things - any monkeys here who have been to one of these expos?

Admission price of US$7 per adult seems reasonable.

I made it home from the Chattanooga expo last night, and I look forward to going again next year. Was a really fun weekend overall, and the expo itself had some pretty good stuff.

It wasn't as big as I expected it would be - only 35 vendor booths, but it did have 3 separate seminar areas, each with 7 different seminars. As the seminar start times were the same for each area, you have to choose which ones you want to see, often at the expense of other interests, and some of them are better than others. Some of them were more of a sales pitch by the vendors, but some of them were very informative and not just pushing their own product.

I suspect that for a lot of folks here, much of the info available at the show would be nothing new, perhaps even elementary to some - but for anyone who is new to preparedness or would simply like to learn more about a subject or 2, I'd say it's worth the trip. If nothing else, Chattanooga is a fun town with attractions and an impressive bar district not far from the convention center.
