    I'm into wilderness survival and anything doing out in the woods.

    Thanks guys. Liking what I see here. The dog is Max and his is an awesome bush buddy. Loves hiking, canoe camping, and being on the river.

    Speaking of dogs, I'm still sussing out things here on what is generally talked about and what isn't really isn't much. And the general use of the tools here like the search. I got like hundreds of hits when I searched for dogs. Is there a thread on something non-specific like here's my dog(s) with pics and what his job is (if any)? Thanks.

    Max, that's a pretty general question, hard to answer specifically. We know the search function sucks, and TPTB are looking into it. In the meantime, some folks have had success coming in under the google flag with sm specific terms.

    Other than that, welcome aboard. You'll find rooting thru the forums enriching (and fulla some amusing junk as well. We have a place for everything, but not everything is in its place. Yet.)

    Thank you ghrit. I'll poke around more. Man, you guys have a lot to read. LOL. And yes, I've uncovered some great stuff and gut busters like the "poster" thread.

    I would start it in Back to the Basics or Bushcraft..... if there is a more appropriate area, the Mod's will move it as needed.
