    Don't know about the inland areas, but we are forecast to have winds 40-50 with gusts to 60 and 70 today. Over the next 5 days they predict near 8.5" of rain will fall. Had a two hour power outage last evening from 5:05PM to 7:10PM.

    Loaned a neighbor one of my single burner butane stoves and we dined by lamplight.. :D

    Got out of "Dodge" PNW yesterday.... It was Blue Sky Sunshine, but they were talking, three storms in a Row, hitting down there.... I am safely back home in Alaska, and happy to be out of the "FlatLands"....

    Powerful rain, wind from typhoon headed for Northwest

    US National Weather Service Seattle Washington
    Be prepared for an impressively stormy period from Thursday through Sunday. The biggest threats will be from flooding rain and about 3 separate rounds of possibly damaging wind. Heaviest rain should occur on Thursday and Saturday. The first round of strong wind is expected Thursday, but the strongest may come Saturday when the revived leftovers of Typhoon Songda make the closest pass to the Pacific Northwest. Along the coast, giant waves and coastal saltwater flooding appear likely, especially this weekend.

    Remember the Columbus Day Storm, 4+ Decades ago, in the PNW..... This is shaping up to be as bad.....

    Hope not - it picked up our carport and shut down the local paper mills.One of my brothers is the ops manager of the one that is still there, so he is in for some hard days. The Columbus day storm also caused massive flooding about 40' covering much of our downtown area.

    We have 6 days of rain forecast down here (S. Oregon), but the heaviest wind on the forecast is 23mph...but then, we're in a river valley.

    Been watching your triple headder you guys got brewing up there, STAY SAFE! I see reports of expected winds on the coast at up to 80 mph, and inland at up to 60 mph!!! That's really serious!!! I don't ever remember having any storms blow through like what you guys are going to be getting! I was born in the Portland area and grew up between Portland and Sweet Home, (from 1970 to 1990) returned in 2008 and moved to Co in 2012. The worst I remember was a Major ice storm in I think 1974 or 75, then again in 1981 or 82!!! Never had winds like they are saying!!!

    Heres hoping and praying it doesn't get to bad. Our weather gets split a lot of times by the mountain behind us, so that is our hope for these storms coming in. All stay safe out there.
