I have my grandfather's wooden shoe forms and cast iron upright so, for many years, I have had an interest in trying to make a pair. I'm thinking the long coming winter will offer some time for just such a task. Anyone have any experience with this? Look in to getting a set of FOXFIRE books they will help a lot with showing you the old way to do it.
