Thanks, however apparently the 1903 Vi & VII as shown above seem to have a different disassemble process that the VIII... I can remove the barrel but the slide does not come off the frame rails... any suggestions?

300,000 + serial number, 17 instead of 19 striations on the slide, crosshatched safety not diamond, horizontal striations on the mag release... integrated barrel bushing... I'm pretty sure it is... I can remove the barrel using the standard process but the slide will not come off the frame...

(EDIT)n I can't open the .pdf it requires a password...

The PDF pass is "coltautos .com" no spaces or quotes.

A 32 Colt was my first purchased personal pistol. Kept it in my pocket and holster on many bases. Still have it and it still fires well. The "horse" is nearly worn off but it still "runs" like a colt should.
