bought a 1911 22 off gun brokers.last night was the 1st chance i had to get to the range .gun will fire 1st and 2nd shot ok but then has issues with firing the rest tried 2 mag same result hammer comes all the way back but the trigger dose not reset all the way can pull on the slide and it will reset .the trigger is very mushy .any ideals on how to fix. hope everyone here dose not mind the questions.seems to be a good place to hang out.
Not really enough info for complete diagnosis, but: -Clean it out and lube it, very well could be gunked up and preventing full travel of the slide. -Try some snortier ammo. -Call the maker and see what they have to say.
I'd try a good cleaning first, followed by a little quality lubricant in the right places. Was it new or used? If used, you may be in for some expense getting it right.
