I came across one of these at a gunshop in Moss Point for 20K. That seems a bit high for an import that in 67 you could buy from Popular Mechanics magazine for $125.00 delivered. Does anybody know what would be a reasonable price for a shooter?

Geez, I wonder if he's out hunting deer? :D That thing could easily take out a lot of stuff so it is no surprise at the huge jump in price. I will have to search for stats on that thing. Also what the ammunition runs. The only practical use for it leaves it wide open for agencies keeping an eye on you. Though I want one. :D

Ammo would be pretty rare and very expensive or require it's own Tax stamp as a destructive device unless it was a solid slug only. Reloading would also be either out of the question or very expensive.

If big solid slug is what you want......then any 50 cal. will fill the bill....At least you still could get ammo or reload for it.......and get spare parts for it too!! Try finding spare parts for either a Lahti or a Steyr Solthurn! Try finding ammo or brass. Then try to find loading data!!!!

Another thing.....do you work out with heavy weights on a regular basis? I hope so if you plan on carrying it around any further than your back yard!!:D

BTW: He's missing the magazine......it loads in top like a Bren gun.

    Got a Barrett
Need a Lahti and a Searcy 4-bore and I'll probably be happy until my shoulders are both dislocated.

Sea: Is that the new CQB Barrett? It seems like it would be a lot easier to carry and wield. How much does it weigh? What's the recoil like? And how are the groups?

Nice piece!:D Wish I had you as a neighbor! I'd clean it for you,and comfort it, and say nice things to it, and tell bedtime stories to it!:D

M82A1 CQ is 20.5" fluted barrel (about 9 inches shorter than standard) and about five pounds lighter than a standard M82. The recoil is about like a high-brass 12 gauge but the muzzle blast is something else. I couldn't say what kind of groups it prints because I haven't played with it enough.
