I did a search but didn't find anything newer than July 2013...

That said, I'm curious how prices and availability are in your neck of the woods as of late.

Here in eastern Kentucky, pickings are somewhat slim. A few local places have bulk but asking $0.10 per round (no thanks).

    Please chime in!

The availability of .22 lr is slim pickings in my area. It is a little over double the cost before the run on ammunition and if you can find it, it is limited to two fifty round boxes.

found all I might want but at $9.00 per box of 50... other wise like Sapper says slim pickings...

I haven't seen any locally for close to a year…found it online a few times at about $0.10 per round.

Face it folks, this isn't the nation or world of just 5 years ago. At that time I had no problem buying small or large quantities of 22lr at 3.5 to 4 cents a round. The fact that ammo manufacturers who make 22lr crank out 8 times more 22lr than any other cartridge they produce just doesn't take up the slack when most people are uneasy about national and world instability and fear their governments. More people also own one or more 22lr firearms than any other caliber of firearm sold worldwide. Manufacturers are just beginning to get caught up on the most popular centerfire calibers, and they are both coming down in price and more commonly available. I would hazard a guess that the profit margin on these centerfire cartridges is also much higher per round cranked out than the profit margin of even a box of 50 rounds of 22lr. That might be a stretch, but not by much. As much as we would all like to see a glut of cheap 22lr, I don't see it in the cards anytime soon. If you are really really short on 22lr ammo, you just might have to bite the bullet and pay the 9 to 10 cents a round and be glad to get it. jus sayin .... YMMV

$25 per brick of 500 seems to be a goo goo price these days ..... not that crazy or hard up .... shotshells and most common calibers have come down in price and now available ..... I'm spending my $$$$$ on other necessities and picking up the bargains that crop up .....

Where if I may ask are you finding 22lr for $25 per 500 rd brick. To me 5 cents a round is more than acceptable. Unbelievable to me in fact. Where Where Where?

5.56/7.62x39 is making a strong comeback, locally.
40 S&W/.38/45 ACP was never a problem but 9mm is still hit or miss.
I missed the writing on the wall (to a degree) as I concentrated more on 5.56/30-06 (M2 ball) and dismissed the lowly .22 rimfire.
I have some .22 put back but with two teenage kids that enjoy plinking, 3k rounds won't last that long.
Agreed, the days of 3-4 cents per round is long gone but I am hoping to see the supply catch up with the demand within the next 5-6 months.

basically, in local AO, bwahahahahaha. too many people, too little ammo, and what is available is usually snapped up and resold on local gun boards at a huge profit.

You know Sportsmans Guide years, actually decades ago, gave away boxes of 50rds 22LR with certain purchases. My stainless AMT 10-22 clone has 50 rounds in a pistol grip storage area, and 50 rds in the buttstock. Those 2 boxes came from SG in that manner. I wonder if they will still shoot.

that's why it's a "goo goo" price to some .... one of the big box sporting goods chain is selling Winchesters on Black Friday morning as a special for the $25/brick .... guaranteed 300 boxes per store .... think there's a limit .... as I said before no thanx .... I'll wait ..... 6 months ago guys were paying $100/brick
