Yep, a buddy clued me to this, and it's on all the gun forums now. All my .45ACP now is handloads, so no worries for me.

You know how long it takes to check 500 ammo cans for these lot numbers? LOL! Just kidding for you trolls.
Only Winchester and some Remington in my stash; some Federal HydraShock, but it's several years old, so I doubt it's tainted.

 

I have one box I need to check.

The rest has been stockpiled awhile or is hand loads.

 

Walmart

I noted that Federal, Winchester and Remington is no longer in any of the local Walmarts. The clerk at one of the stores told me that ALL of their .45 ammo had been recalled.

I have since seen some off-brand .45 ACP and .45 LC.

Perhaps, Winchester and Remington thought they'd better double-check their product better, too.
