    Modern "belled" scope bodies are not one piece generally. The scope on my CETME had to be replaced- it got banged and the entire 'bell' section up front got canted off center. Popped it back, and the sight picture looked okay - but I could not trust it to hold zero after that.

    Scopes take a lot more abuse than people think.......
