This clerk certainly had guts. Not sure if it was a wise idea but glad it worked out. He is lucky that the robbers didn't pull the trigger. As for those two that stood there watching, no comment. 7-Eleven clerk disarms shotgun-wielding man
Yea, several times that barrel was in a bad spot, yet kudos for the clerk having the balls to not be a victim.
He didn't know it, but later reports are that it was unloaded. Still, stones the size of Gibralter. And here's another lesson why brandishing doesn't always work.
Good outcome, but there were some moments during that struggle that the store clerk could have received a major gut shot. Once he made the grab, he had to win the struggle for the gun. The two by-standers could have helped, but also could have sparked enough fear in the bad guy to where he would have pulled the trigger.....There are no right answers for this one, just a fortunate outcome, because those kind of situations are too fluid. A split-second delay, or fraction of an inch change in hands and finger placement by either participant could have resulted in at least one homicide, and a robbery.
That Clerk is just Dang Lucky, he doesn't have a 3" Hole in this belly, filled with Shot.... That was the dumbest move I have seen, to date.... Agree, Biggest Stones, on Biggest Fools....
It did make me shudder a couple of times at how easily this clerk could have lost his life. One of those things, fight or flight and this clerk must have thought he could win.
The guy picked just about the worst possible moment to grab for the shotgun. The robber was at maximum hype as the robbery started. The guy should have waited until the robber was reaching for the money (victory in sight...) and had relaxed just that tiny bit--and taken one hand off the shotgun... If he felt he just had to go for the gun, I mean. I'd have offered the guy all the money in the till, plus a carton of ciggies and told him to grab a case of beer on his way out. Bearing in mind that really happy robbers don't usually shoot people out of spite and all that stuff is insured anyway.
Look, this guy was just plain stupid and I hope no one here would try this. First, we're not talking about a lot of money which, as we all know, does not belong to the 'clerk' indeed it belongs to a national multi-million dollar corporation. Second, the money is insured. Third, this not only could have turned out bad for the clerk by getting gut shot it could have well turned out bad for the other employees also - collateral damage or outright murdered. One should cooperate and get the robber out of there as quickly as possible and should only try something like this if indeed it looks like they are not only after money but intend to harm you. Just my thoughts on this...
Good Idea.... It w old be harder for the robber, to carry the cash, in a bag, a cartoon of smokes, and a Sixpack of Beer, and the Shotgun, in shooting position, all at the same time... That is when you Jump His A$$, take the Shotgun, and if it was Empty, as Reported, BUTT Stoke the Perp into submission, and wait for the Cops to Arrive...
No, you butt-stroke the cat until the Coroner arrives.... As for the two by-standers. Why would you think they would lift a finger to help The Man?
If the clerk had taken the gun and beat the s_ _ _ t out of the robber the way the left media is it would be a hate crime.
