@Gator 45/70 Potatoes are a great garden staple and satisfying to grow. I have 3 different kinds of sweet potatoes growing. Sadly, my harvesters (pigs with those shovel teeth) do a lot more damage to the landscaping, but at least it's good bait. They'll be after my pineapples soon. I can tell and will need to build more deterrents.

Probably in you're case a solar powered hot wire fence, not necessarily cheap but extremely effective as pigs learn fast!

Usually take photos of the "before" and right after planting, then forget about it until after the harvest it done.

@Gator 45/70 solar powered fencing is a brilliant idea! Thanks for suggesting it. The last time I used electric fencing was in outdoor school to protect our supplies. I have trail cam footage of a pig analyzing my traps and deciding it's not such a good idea, after all. they are pretty smart. I've had the most success when they are scared and stumble into the trap.
Also, I'm about to google it, but can pigs swim?...
Okay, I just googled it and according to National Geographic, pigs are excellent swimmers
