knocked this one up yesterday for my fish tailed scandi i made earlier in the year. The leather is veg tanned leather ,i wanted a sheath that is more discreet than a dangler so i can carry my knife when in the field without attracting too much attention.The design is my own but i guess similar to many sutch sheaths.
Now that is a pretty cool holster! Wish I had one like it for the cool little fighter that Don made for me.
Great work !!!! What type of machine did ya do the sewing with ,if I may ask. The basket weave is perfect .
OUTSTANDING WORK!!!!!! I wish I could do hand stitching like that . Mine always comes out looking like a 3rd grader had a hand in it !! You do great work !!!
Truly beautiful artistry! It looks like a labor of love. <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">
tooling Hey guys, that is one beautiful piece of work. I am really interested in getting into leatherworking and would like any tips I can get, as well as a good place to get leatherworking tools. I have a very large piece of tooling leather, but no tools yet. Can you tell me what basic tools I need to start out with?
Great job Fish! Your work is superb. I've worn a few horizontal sheaths and they are great for certain situations. I also wear them cross draw at times instead of SOB. Both worked well.
Your work is amazing, I am very impressed. I am curious as to what you used for finishing to get that glossy look.
